Peterson is/was a lot more physical at Oklahoma, and Big 10 running backs don’t have a good recent history of transition to NFL speed. Ball is a great athlete, but Clarrett was similar and more physical (with worse off field problems) and failed at the jump (imagine if he lettered only two more years at OSU, what he could have done?!) Ball prob wll transition better than Ron Dayne did, but he may not be the production machine AP is…but I was sceptical of LaDanian Tomlinson coming out of TCU way back too, and how wrong I was.
