More so than debt, deficit, and even jobs, education is the most-pressing issue facing the United States in the long-term. There is no better and quite frankly no other way to compete and win in a global economy than to effectively educate your population.

In an era of slow or no growth, jobs seem to be a zero-sum game. And to win, you must educate. And those who have been given the opportunity to pursue an education, at least in the United States, have not felt the recession like everyone else.
