It's 1974 All Over Again

It's week 11, and we are still celebrating V Day (chart bounce) after the 1200 day gold bear war.

The anxiety over the anticipated PDAC curse, has been replaced by "be-away-in-May" angst.

Gold, copper, oil, the Dow, S&P, and commodity stocks are all behaving very well.

Eddie van der Walt, Bloomberg's London-based gold reporter tweeted on March 9th that "Gold had the best start to a year since 1974, the year Nixon resigned."

I responded by saying: "The #Dow had its best October in 74. October 2011 came in second. I see 1400 here for starters."

To understand this logic, one has to be an observer of Legendary Market Timer, Don Wolanchuk, whom I have followed since 2000.

On October 4, 2011, Wolanchuk predicted that the Dow bear was over and that this would be the best October ever. He was wrong, although it was the best in 37 years!

Dow Close Oct. 4, 2011: 10808.71

Dow Close May 19, 2015: 18312.39

He called this the "Recognition Wave" where the Dow's divisor becomes a multiple, and the majority of bears would capitulate, one by one.

Is the recognition wave in gold upon us? Every week this year, a growing number of bears are going long -- one by one.

1400 Gold? Commodity stocks trending higher? Leverage from lithium demand continuing? Bet on it.

Negative interest rates in 23 countries and counting, $16 trillion lost in the global meltdown since Black Monday (August 24th), uncontrollable mounting debt, geopolitical turmoil almost everywhere, yet look at this Friday headline:

Dow breaks above bullish chart level first time this year

Yes, it truly is 1974, and 2011 all over again.

"Have a good weekend...stay tuned!!" (link)

Robert Hirschberg tweeted this late Friday afternoon. The Globe and Mail article featuring the ceo.ca YouTube video, collected an extra 12,000 plus views for the week:

Robert's 3 featured stocks in the article, $LIX Lithium X, $PGM Pure Gold Mining, and $NGZ NRG Metals* performed very well by weeks end.

$LIX (up 217% from November) hit a high of $1.40 on Monday and drifted down to a low of .91 Friday morning, with a weekly volume of 3,314,918 million shares at an average price of $1.154. $LIX announced a $7.65-million private placement , and the stock immediately came back to life, closing the day at $1.11.

If the bottom is in, and the market can absorb all the 0.15 paper that comes free trading in 2 weeks, I will say, well played Takeover Kings.

$PGM (up 286% from December) reached a 52 week high of 0.295 on Wednesday, and closed the week up 0.035 to 0.27. Volume for the 5 days: 3,016,411 shares.

$NGZ (up 275% from February 10th) attained a weekly high of 0.085 Wednesday on light volume, and closed the week up 0.035 to 0.075 (67%).

*After reading all the news on this ($NGZ) company -- and knowing that Robert likes it -- one has to conclude that it deserves some serious attention.

Talking Our Books

First of all, it turns out that ceo.ca have been picking winners for a long time

The Power of (the CEO.CA) Community

Well over a dozen stocks featured real time, since last spring have rapidly risen 100%, or even as high as 200%, and in some cases over 500% in a few days to weeks.

Expect to see more stocks like $RLG in the coming months:

$RLG (up 1350% since January 6th) On 2/18, West Red Lake Gold filed a 43-101 technical report (7.57 grams gold per tonne containing 1,087,700 ounces of gold), and the stock closed up 50% to 0.03.

$RLG had its first mention on ceo.ca on 2/24. @stateside put together a decent paragraph that caught the attention of several regulars. 10,918,483 million shares later, $RLG hit a high of 0.155 Friday and closed at 0.145.

It turns out that Tommy Humphreys gave the first heads up on $RLG on February 6th, 2015 (link).

I am adding $RLG, $NGZ, $GPH and $MRS to my personal list this week:

$MCC $WML $CRH $DMA $JEM $PE $LIX $IDI $LAG $HPL $WKM $TV $IN $GLH $RLG $NGZ $GPH $MRS

$GPH Graphite One hit a 52 week high of 0.135 on Thursday and traded an impressive 27,822,986 shares for the week. Bob Cross has done a great job on $PE. Let's see what he can do for $GPH.

Ceo.ca article on Bob Cross and $GPH from February 05, 2014 (link).

$MRS "Mission Ready’s companies have an incredible group of individuals with unique and innovative capabilities providing solutions for militaries, law enforcement, first-responders and the many other agencies worldwide that help to safeguard our health and security."

$MRS and $MCC share something in common: One large contract and this company halts, and opens up at much higher prices.

Potential Takeover Targets:

$IDI (up 300% from May 1) - Private gold miner billionaire Guido Del Castillo (5 mines in production, second largest in Peru: 277k ounces) invested $25.5 Million to own 70% of Indico. He always likes to purchase 100% of his mines.

$WKM (up 171% from February 2nd) hit a 52 week high of 0.095 on Friday. $WKM has close ties to $PTM -- a strong performer at $4.01.

Two sub nickel oil stocks to watch:

$HPL (Winter and Gamba run both $CNE $533 mil) and $JEM (ex $YPF $6.8 Bil) Strong management with remarkable track records. When it happens, the performance will be swift.
