Dr. Peter Diamandis (center) floating with Elon Musk (r), James Cameron (l), and others

After listening to many of Tim Ferriss' podcasts in 2015 where he interviewed several of the most powerful people from Silicon Valley, I posted my findings here on July 20th.

A quote that stood out was by Peter Diamandis who said:

"Find something that a billion people need to make a billion dollars."

That's easy for Diamandis to say, who with several of his billionaire buddies self-fund each others deals. By the time they go public, with their multi-billion dollar valuations at $20 a share or so, they leave very little room for penny players like us.

At the time I figured that It's almost impossible to find a genomics deal, or an Artificial Intelligence startup under a dollar.

I mentioned a rumor of a well known Vancouver money guy that went to Silicon Valley about a year ago with $100 million, and was staying there until he found a deal.

A daring move considering how challenging it must be infiltrating this elite group of investors, and entrepreneurs.

With the enormous success of Space x, Diamandis invested in several startups with the likes oh Peter Thiel, Bezos, Musk, Branson, Larry Page and so on.

His other companies include:

Zero Gravity, Angel Technologies, Space Adventures,BlastOff!, Rocket Racing League, Singularity University, Planetary Resources Inc.

The one that really caught my attention was Human Longevity Inc:

"In March 2014, Diamandis co-founded Human Longevity Inc. (HLI), a genomics and cell therapy-based diagnostic and therapeutic company focused on extending the healthy human lifespan."

Electric vehicles, and lithium were the furthest things from my mind.

That all changed on September 03, when Elon Musk hinted that he was looking at other sources of lithium. $PE Pure Energy was the play and some quick money was made over the next 14 days. There would be others.

The education process was intense. Who were the players? Who were the experts? What were some of the worlds richest men doing? Most importantly, what were the Vancouver based Takeover Kings doing? There was plenty of negativity to overcome, which I ignored.

After five months of continuous due diligence, this was my conclusion on February 21st:

"I have followed this (Serial Takeover) model for decades and it works more often than not.

Fortunes will be made here for those willing to play the game over the next few years, like the last 4 or 5 times we were in the starting phase of the cycle.

As goes gold and lithium, so goes the Canadian Micro Caps."

A few more lithium deals were announced last week as we approach the 150 mark.

Based on the jaw dropping $50 million Nemaska financing announced last Friday, there is another bold prediction that needs to be made. At least three lithium companies will trade over $5 in the next one to two years. Certain lithium companies will need to fight back large money with a big stick. Be careful, over 95% of these stocks will fail.

Diamandis was right:

"Find something that a billion people need to make a billion dollars."

Guess what that well known Vancouver money guy that went to Silicon Valley about a year ago with $100 million ended up doing? He came back to Vancouver and invested in a bunch of junior lithium stocks.

Simon Moores May 25th:

  • "The lithium market will need at least 100,000 tonnes additional supply over the next four years. That's four mines worth."

Simon Moores June 12th:

  • "All in the last 12 months:
  • Tesla Energy
  • Mercedes Benz Energy GmbH
  • Apple Energy LLC
  • Welcome to the 21st century"

There were earlier clues:

Bill Gates and a dozen of his associates worth over a quarter trillion made their commitment to clean living by year end:
