Now that the bull is back in the (junior) gold market, people are really getting excited here on the CEO.CA chat. Everyone is searching for the next interesting drill play, area play, silver play, laggard. Some users really add value by bringing up ideas and research that I would not have found without them:

@jhm came up with a very interesting Golden Triangle claimholders map yesterday

What I learned: I learned that Firesteel Resources $FTR has a nice set of claims sandwiched between Imperial Metals $III and Colorado's $CXO North Rok property. Market cap is currently $1.4M (I have no position -yet-)

@stateside provided some hints on April 23 about "a company" with a market cap around $300K. This company owns more than $3M worth of Kaizen $KZD shares and has a low grade deposit in the Yukon.

What I learned: I found out that @stateside was referring to $AMG and after some research I decided to buy $AMG at 0.13. Yesterday I took a 100% profit at 0.26 (too early).

@drilltracker provided one of his drill result charts - specifically for Timok this timehttp://cdn.ceo.ca.s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/1bi4lso-Drill%20Core%20Weekly%20Vol%207%20April%2012%202013%20FINAL.pdf

What I learned: When I looked at the chart of Timok I noticed the 36 metres @ 4.95 g/t drill result by Prosperity Goldfields on its Kiyuk Lake property. The chart is 4 years old but I wanted to know what happened with this company and property after this drill result in 2012. Prosperity made a couple of changes in 2014:

  1. Alaska and Nunavut property acquisitions;
  2. Name change from Prosperity Goldfields to Northern Empire Resources;
  3. Consolidation of its outstanding common shares on the basis of one new share for every five outstanding shares;
  4. A $1,072,500 private placement;
  5. Appointment of John Robins and James Paterson to the Company's board of directors.
