The second day at the 2019 Palisade Hard Asset conference started with a look at what the future might look like for the mining industry - and how investors and speculators could potentially use this to their advantage.

Special guest Frank Holmes began his keynote speech with a glimpse on how the two worlds of gold stocks and A.I. will collide in the future - and most importantly - how this will help investors become more profitable within the junior mining space.

After Frank it was the turn of Mike Beck - a favorite guest at the previous palisade hard asset conference - and the topic of electric vehicles, their adoption rate, and which metals have the potential to be re-rated significantly in the future was at the center of his talk.

Mike laid out the case for an acceleration within the electric vehicle space and which companies he has invested in - and continues to invest in - to capture the full wave of this global shift within the auto industry.

Other highlights from our second day in Jekyll island included a Q & A session with Collin Kettell asking legendary company builder Paul Matysek specific questions regarding the process and imagination he used to build, invest, and sell each of his highly successful resource companies.

He shared with us what he has learnt throughout the course of a hugely successful career - not only for himself - but also for the investors who backed him, believed him, and went along for the ride.

And to wrap up the day we were treated to a panel discussion by Mike Beck, Matt Geiger, and Philip O’ Neill, to find out what a bull market actually felt like - with a focus on their past experiences on the types of gains they made in the good times - and if we were now perhaps ready for a brand new bull market for commodities going forward.

All this and more was shared with our audience in Jekyll Island, but over the coming weeks we will share all the presentations and exclusive interviews from the conference on Palisade Radio. And for continued updates throughout the weekend, follow us on twitter and other social media channels.

So as the conference begins to slowly wrap up, with guests looking forward to a relaxing round of golf, and a final series of talks and panel discussions to come tomorrow, we can’t wait to see what next year will bring - and which potential guests and leading figures within the mining sector - we can share with our audience for next year.

Until next time, happy contrarian investing.
