VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - June 24, 2016) - East Africa Metals Inc. (TSX VENTURE: EAM) ("East Africa" or the "Company") announces voting results from its Annual Meeting of Shareholders held today in Vancouver, BC.

A total of 46.2 million common shares, representing approximately 44.96% of the Company's issued and outstanding common shares, were voted in connection with the meeting. East Africa shareholders voted overwhelmingly in favour of all items of business, including the election of each director nominee as follows:

East Africa shareholders voted 99.79% in favour to appoint PricewaterhouseCooper LLP as auditors and 99.28% in favour of issuing shares in lieu of bonuses.

The Company's principal assets and interests include both the 70%-owned Harvest polymetallic VMS exploration Project, which hosts the Terakimti Deposit and which covers approximately 86 square kilometres in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, 600 kilometres north‐northwest of the capital city of Addis Ababa, and the Adyabo Project, hosting the Mato Bula trend Adyabo Resource, covering 225 square kilometres immediately west of the Harvest Project.
