TORONTO, March 24, 2017 /CNW/ - After a week of turbulence, one of the second chance houseguests had his voyage aboard the BBCAN Odyssey cut short. Saint John, N.B.'s Dallas Cormier, originally from the show's fourth season, was sent packing by his fellow Big Brother Canada houseguests. Head of Household Demetres Giannitsos originally nominated two first-time houseguests, putting up Emily Hawkin as a pawn, along with his true target, Canadian heavyweight boxing champion, Dillon Carman. After Dillon won the Power of Veto and chose to use it on himself, Dallas was named the replacement nominee, which sent the house into a whirlwind of whispers and paranoia as he and Emily both campaigned to remain. Despite the target shifting between the two nominees, Dallas was evicted in a unanimous vote, becoming the first returning houseguest to be sent packing.
"From last week, I was on the wrong side of the votes and that immediately put a target on my back this week," said the veteran houseguest, Dallas. "When I'm in that house, I always try to be a leader and a loyal person and I don't mind being a target. That's just the kind of guy I am really. And I definitely play hard… very hard."
It was a turbo-charged week on the BBCAN Odyssey, featuring explosive speeches and dramatic alliance shifts. After nominee Dillon became the top cookie in the Oreo-themed Power of Veto competition and took himself off the block, Dallas quickly realized he didn't have as close of a bond with his fellow veteran houseguests as he had originally thought. After gathering his alliance-mates, he made his plea for their support but the response was lackluster. In a last-ditch effort to secure his safety, Dallas catapulted his gameplay into overdrive making Dillon his new target and vowing to the houseguests that he would be the "David to Dillon's Goliath" if he was kept in the house. And while he spent his week publicly firing shot after shot at his ex-pal Dillon, Emily worked hard in the background to trick the house into believing that their epic battle was a hoax.
After Dallas said his goodbyes, "Action!" was called for this week's "And Scene" Head of Household competition. In this trivia-based competition, the houseguests' memories were tested as they were required to recall specifics of a skit they had performed the day before.
