Speaking of Zinc--Kootenay Zinc's Compelling Story

Here's a compelling story of Kootenay Zinc Corp's (ZNK-CSE) efforts to define a major ore body similar to that of British Columbia's historic Sullivan Mine.

Over it's 90 yrs. the Sullivan generated in excess of $40 Billion in revenue from zinc, lead and silver production.

Kootenay Zinc's Sully Project is located 30 Kms. east of the Sullivan near Fort Steele BC.

The same stratigraphic level that Sullivan was deposited at appears to coincide with the East gravity anomaly at Sully.

A subtle lead-zinc soil anomaly possibly reflects leakage up faults and dispersion through thick till and alluvium from an entirely buried deposit.

A Cominco airborne geophysical survey identified two N-S trending anomalies underground at Sully.

These are up to 3 kms. long, 1 km. apart and are near-coincident with the gravity.

The Kootenay Zinc Technical Team is guided by Sullivan Sedex deposit expert Geo. Paul Ransom as well as Brian Jones (known for large scale surveys i.e. Voisey Bay Project) and award winning Dr. David Boughton of Ivanhoe Mines.

It is important to note the Management team includes directorships and associations common with Nevsun Resources, Mag Silver, Ivanhoe Mines, First Quantum Minerals and K92 mining to name a few. New gravity data confirm and better define the location of a large East mass.

Drilling is planned to resume in early 2017 upon completion of geophysics and expected results.

It would make sense that any Zinc from a Kootenay Zinc discovery would be additional feed for the existing Teck Trial BC refinery.
