January 26, 2017 Interview with Ben Whiting, VP Exploration at Dolly Varden Silver Corporation (TSXV:DV), from the floor of the AME BC Roundup convention in Vancouver, Canada.

Dolly Varden Silver Corp have come to our group and asked us to manage the exploration and the advancement of an exciting silver project in British Columbia. Dolly Varden, the mineralization was discovered about 100 years ago and it has a history of production. If you want to find mineralization, you can find it in historic camps as well. This area has produced 20 million ounces of silver at very high grades. It has a resource of 42.5 million ounces of silver today. We think that there’s a lot more in the Dolly Varden camp. 4 deposits make up the current resource. There are over 22 exploration targets and many have never been drilled. Bringing modern exploration techniques to a historic mining camp is an exciting opportunity.

Historically, Dolly Varden Mine was opened by Herbert Hoover, the mining engineer that eventually became President of the United States. He was a good mining engineer. I won’t make comments about his politics as a president, but as a mining engineer, he was certainly solid. They made money in that mining venture in 1919. When we go back into areas like that. The same regions give potential for new discoveries on the property but also extensions of the existing mining operations. In Dolly Varden proper, the Dolly Varden mine, the Torbirt, the Wolf deposit, the Ace Galena, they all require more study. That’s something we’re going to be putting together this summer. We’re assembling the team now. The team justed in Jan 2017 under the new management. We will have a $2.5 mil budget for this year’s program. If things goes well, we’ll keep going with it. The drill will enter the property in June. We can comfortably do surface exploration from June-September. Right now there’s a lot of snow on the project so we’re waiting for June to move in. It has opportunities for discovery of high-grade silver.

As we stand here at the Mineral Exploration Roundup, we’ve had a chance to meet with a lot of geologists and mining engineers who have been on Dolly Varden on the past. We’re now proud to be part of that rich history of exploration at Dolly Varden and it’s a great opportunity.
