I'm an independent minor speculator/investor from Stockholm, Sweden who has been interested in mining since 2009. My long term goal is capital accumulation and to learn more about speculation, investing and the industry.

@MiningBookGuy@zartceps - do you want the full, earlier edition? or the abridged one? I can get an ISBN for the earlier version, especially if you prefer buying older, used copies (or you can find it in a library)
@zartcepsDoes the the abridged version only feature the part on markets? @MiningBookGuy? I thought that I could ask you for the ISBN for the book(s) on your shelf. I'm browsing around after a few titles on the crowd and behaviour, and I don't want to pick up a dodgy version.
@MiningBookGuy@zartceps - i'm glad you asked! I forgot I included the ISBN's on my favorite 'bubble' books (another ceo.ca contributor asked me to do this a while ago). I highly recommend any of these books:
Specifically for ""Extraordinary Popular Delusions and The Madness of Crowds", the ISBN I have is: 0-517-541238 , a copy from 1980. I believe it's a 'complete' version. But it's hefty, and not easy to take with you.
Anyway, you can find ISBNs to all the other 'bubble' books in the notes below the youtube video. #books#bubblebooks (*EDIT - tagging to #mbgtrends in case others are interested)
@zartcepsI've made the decision to cancel a lot of news subscriptions from Canadian mining companies and entirely switch to CEO.ca for all news on drill results, discoveries, private placements etc this year. It's a better alternative, faster and it's easier to learn more about DD.
@zartceps@Markus - Most users follow $GOLD for the gold, in other words, the precious metal, and not GoldMining. The solution is to use an alternative ticker for GoldMining, and keep $GOLD for the metal.
@zartcepsQuote taken from the new site: "On December 7, 2016, Brazil Resources Inc. changed its name to GoldMining Inc. The name change of the Company is to better reflect our diversified project portfolio and strategy to build a leading gold acquisition and development company throughout the Americas." http://goldmining.com/
@zartcepsDo you guys have any experience with P2P lending? I've started researching the space due to #NIRP and because of the potential yield and automatic reinvestment. I'm going to start diverting small funds because the banks are losing their customers. #P2P#Lending
@zartcepsHow about inviting a few CEOs for a half hour/hour CEO.CA chat in a dedicated panel with pre-prepared questions for them in connection to the subscriber Summit March 4 in Toronto. And, be sure to include CEOs with good projects.
@zartceps@zeroboot & @JanuarysVeryOwn Can you please think about how you address each other in the channels and try to avoid name calling if possible. A lot of people are following NDM at the moment and they receive notifications when there are new messages. One of the benefits and pros with CEO.CA is that you can ask more experienced traders, speculators and investors for their opinion about something, and with a bit of luck you might receive answers that may improve your DD learning process. #newbies
@Excelsior@zartceps - I believe Nolan was referring to a number of different deposits and companies they've reviewed. He was saying "there are a lot of assets out there that are fundamentally broken, and CEOs are lying about them." He mentioned that many "stories are not as advertised."
It's valuable to utilize CEO and the wealth of wisdom from all the different contributors here to flush out the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT analysis). Many companies push projects onto the public, but may not always be honest or transparent with investors.
@zartcepsWhen it comes to the CEO.CA climate, I prefer civilized conduct, general morals, and the friendly banter over unethical behaviour, pumping with ulterior motives, and endless ad hominem attacks. I like the positive atmosphere and that you have the possibility to come with a counter argument in different panels etc. without being attacked. Yet with panels, channels etc. anyone can moderate them who owns them. At the end of the day, you'll learn more and thrive by surrounding yourself with positive individuals with core DD skills.
@MiningBookGuybtw, good discussion, big +1 @zartceps! :)
i'll just add that i think it's VERY hard for #newbies to become acquainted with ~panels#panels right now. not sure if this is going to be a long-term CEO.CA feature. IF it is, I think it would be great to highlight them a bit more. I'm all about making it easier for #newbies quickly getting value, then adding their own value as they move up the CEO.CA #foodchain if they're up for it. It doesn't have to be on the #index. #feedback
@zartcepsIf you're interested in #P2Plending then I recommend that you go through the companies' financial statements before investing any larger sums. Historically, there have been problems with earnings, bankruptcies, and a dodgy supply chain; the supply is often larger than the demand. I have only invested small sums, but I thought that I'd share my experiences in relations to possible problems. #Lending#P2P#Yield#Fintech

@zartcepsHow about making it possible to pool other user's messages, or certain defined critera, news sources or subjects, into custom made feeds? Build your own feeds with your own parameters and add an option whether or not the feed should be private, shared with invited users or public. Perhaps certain feeds can be marketed and open for subscriptions. I'm a bit tired so perhaps channels already are adequate for this purpose. #Feedback.
@zartcepsSomeone should create a #MoneyManagement or #RiskManagement panel at CEO.CA, and have a place for interesting facts, principles and quotes about money management and how to handle risk; a panel for those individuals who want to manage their own money.
