I'm an independent minor speculator/investor from Stockholm, Sweden who has been interested in mining since 2009. My long term goal is capital accumulation and to learn more about speculation, investing and the industry.

@zartcepsIf you're interested in #P2Plending then I recommend that you go through the companies' financial statements before investing any larger sums. Historically, there have been problems with earnings, bankruptcies, and a dodgy supply chain; the supply is often larger than the demand. I have only invested small sums, but I thought that I'd share my experiences in relations to possible problems. #Lending#P2P#Yield#Fintech

@zartcepsHow about making it possible to pool other user's messages, or certain defined critera, news sources or subjects, into custom made feeds? Build your own feeds with your own parameters and add an option whether or not the feed should be private, shared with invited users or public. Perhaps certain feeds can be marketed and open for subscriptions. I'm a bit tired so perhaps channels already are adequate for this purpose. #Feedback.
@zartcepsSomeone should create a #MoneyManagement or #RiskManagement panel at CEO.CA, and have a place for interesting facts, principles and quotes about money management and how to handle risk; a panel for those individuals who want to manage their own money.
@MiningBookGuy@zartceps@FundamentalAnalysis - yes, i did think about a #podcast. but not something i think i want do on my own...
with that said, i really enjoy the skype sessions with @TheNextBigRush and @JayFire on #TheNextBigRush youtube channel! This is pretty close to a podcast. I would always be up for stuff like this with Fabi and Jay (if this ever turns into a 'real' podcast), or others that want to have similar conversations. The chatting/listening part is a lot of fun! :)
@zartcepsSome investors have started to leave the Swedish stock market, and the IPO:s are more frequent than in previous years. The housing market is starting to slow down slightly, and I'm eager to know how the U.S. stock market is going to trade during the year.
@zartcepsTaken from the news update: "Of the 126 contracts signed in the quarter, 61 are with new clients in Alberta (17), Saskatchewan (42), and Manitoba (2), and 65 contracts are renewals/expansions with existing clients. This brings Input's streaming portfolio to 181 active canola streams in Alberta (38), Saskatchewan (135) and Manitoba (8)."
@zartcepsHere's a comparison of key metrics between September 2016 and 2017 YTD: Streaming contracts by year: an increase of 61.61% (April 2017). Annual Streaming Revenue: a decrease of 24.23% (April 2017). Annual capital deployment: an increase of 24.81% (April 2017, Target: $50 M).
@zartcepsI've been in contact with James Rogers at Longford Exploration Services (through email), and asked him to give a more in depth idea as to which type of work will, or might, be carried out at Eagle River.
The disclaimer is that this is only to give some of us less experienced speculators a more explanative take on what has already been written/communicated from $SEK lately concerning field work.
@zartcepsJames Rogers: "The first step in designing an effective exploration program on a grassroots project such as Eagle River is to pull all available reports, studies, geophysics and interpretations filed with the government on the project and surrounding areas. In Quebec, the government performs geological mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys and databases exploration reports from operators who file for work credit on claims.
This gives us a data foundation of all previous private and government work that’s been performed on and nearby the property. From there, we can compile and begin interpreting a database. Part of that will be evaluating previous geophysical surveys and deciding what geophysical method would be most efficient to apply to the whole project area. As far as technology used to compile and evaluate historic datasets it will be done using several GIS and possibly some 3D modeling software if the data lends itself to it. It is too early to say what survey technology will be used at this point.
A logistical evaluation of the site will assess the condition of roads and logging activity on the property which will help to constrain a budget and what access equipment is used (trucks, ATVs, boats etc.) to perform field work and geophysics."
@zartcepsHow about setting up monthly or quarterly CEO.CA conference calls or Roundtable groups where #newbies can sit "at the table" with CEOs, geologists, engineers, investors, speculators, analysts etc. Or encourage users to create such groups, for example #mbgtrends roundtable, where you can get to know the contributors behind a certain panel/channel.
@MiningBookGuy@zartceps - i think this is a really cool idea! well, it's lots of ideas, lol :P
i'm open to taking #mbgtrends in a lot of different directions depending on demand. And I'm sure CEO.CA is the same in general. I'll listen if more people want to see some 'new' type of 'roundtable'!
@zartceps#feedback The watchlists seem to be a big buggy at my end. When I update them I sometimes run into problems with tickers not showing up, and that my edits sometimes disappear before I have the chance to save them etc.
