@MiningBookGuy The Road to Ruin - Why you NEED to read this book! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqkq9LxyJKw+ Great review by @TheNextBigRush! I was probably going to get a copy soon anyway, but decided to buy immediately after watching this. @MiningBookGuy @Alan - agreed. though for someone new to #NassimTaleb, I would recommend them to be read in tandem with #JimRickards. there's some interesting cross-over, with Rickards being VERY applied towards the near future. It's a lot to take in, but it's worth reading all of their books. And to go a little further, stuff by #BillBonner (I actually first heard about Bonner because of a reference by #NassimTaleb somewhere). And #FooledbyRandomness is still a very good one by #Taleb, I read that in 2006, thought it was the easiest to start with. #books

@MiningBookGuy @Alan - I've got 2 #billbonner favorites: 1. my favorite was my first read...doesn't pack the same punch today (i've read it a bunch of times), but it was really overlooked at the time, I read it just after release in 2007: Mobs, Messiahs, and Markets https://www.amazon.com/Mobs-Messiahs-Markets-Surviving-Spectacle/dp/0470474807/ #MobsMessiahsAndMarkets 2. and my 2nd favorite is Family Fortunes: https://www.amazon.com/Family-Fortunes-Build-Wealth-Years/dp/1118171411/ #FamilyFortunes I should read that one again in a few years... very #contrarian ideas on how to manage money. #books

@MiningBookGuy @Excelsior RE: https://ceo.ca/mbgtrends?6915d6d036ae - good list! though pretty heavy on the #libertarian indoctrination, haha :P I've only read a few of those #books. But if I had to choose one to recommend from the list, it's easy: #TheLaw by #FredericBastiat. maybe the easiest read on there, and it just 'makes sense'. I've got to find my copy and read it again. BTW, I rarely visit #Liberty.Me, but I support the general idea of what's going on there.

@MiningBookGuy @Alan #RE: https://ceo.ca/mbgtrends?af1b9936be5b - glad you mentioned #DiceHaveNoMemory! that was an underrated #BillBonner book, like a 'best-of' time-machine to ~10-15 years ago. I don't read Bill's email writings as much anymore, but these are worth reviewing. #books

@MiningBookGuy @Alan @bullmarketmove - glad you guys brought up #crisisinvesting by #dougcasey! so there are multiple editions, and i'm sure you'll get something out of each of them. i own a couple different ones. but the only one i read the whole way through is "Crisis Investing For the Rest of the 90s": https://www.amazon.com/Crisis-Investing-Rest-Douglas-Casey/dp/1559721774/ Ah! I found an article that was very similar to the one that got me to buy this one back in 2012 or 2013 (i think it was also by Tom Dyson: http://palmbeachgroup.com/content/palm-beach-daily/tom-dyson-the-best-penny-you-will-ever-spend/11850/ I actually remember reading that maybe a day after, and the price of the book jumped to $20 or $30! Well, it's cheap again. And there are definitely a few parts that are more relevant to 'penny mining stocks' today, compared to his copies from the early-80s. Anyway, that's the one I recommend if you can get it on the cheap! :) #CrisisInvestingForTheRestofThe90s #books

@MiningBookGuy @bullmarketmove - agreed! #MyElectricianDrivesaPorsche? is a great #newbies #book: https://www.amazon.com/My-Electrician-Drives-Porsche-Investing/dp/1626342512/ Here's a good summary from CEO.CA when it was first released, with the "5 rules of investing": http://blog.ceo.ca/2015/01/14/gianni-kovacevic-copper-q-and-a/ I have definitely bought into the copper story, influenced by this book (though I'm much more of a gold bull at the moment). @MiningBookGuy @bullmarketmove - finally had a chance to dig into your new interview with #CollinKettell today: @bullmarketmove/the-next-bull-market-move-interview-collin-kettell-ceo-partnerpalisade-global-investments-ltd Excellent! I really like the balance of the 3 topics: great charts from #PalisadeResearch to back-up the #uranium bottom thesis, & thoughts on #gold that much aligned with my own (though I'm perhaps wrongly more optimistic in the coming months). But I especially appreciate the section on #SecurityAnalysis by #BenGraham. I love the quote that you pulled out, and Collin's commentary on this. It's a book that I've struggled with (still haven't finished it...but someday!). And would love to see future #articles keep touching on highlights of this important book! And in case people missed it, I recommend everyone check out @bullmarketmove's 1st interview with Collin here: http://thenextbullmarketmove.tumblr.com/post/152157811015/this-week-i-had-the-chance-to-connect-with-one-of I learned a lot with this one as well, and very impressed with Collin's family background, which I was unaware of prior to interview. Again, thanks for these great interviews and keep them coming! :) #TheNextBullMarketMove #books #mbgtrends

@newstracker For nearly five decades, Gerald M. Loeb prospered in the world of Wall Street. Perhaps it was Loeb's ability and desire to articulate exactly what it takes to win in the bond and stock markets. Loeb's gift to investors ultimately came in the form of a book, "The Battle for Investment Survival." Loeb writes with brutal honesty. http://www.investors.com/news/management/leaders-and-success/why-gerald-loebs-battle-for-investment-survival-rings-true-in-todays-markets/? #books

@MiningBookGuy @FundamentalAnalysis - glad you read #TheRoadToRuin! Interestingly, he used to recommend 10% gold for 'typical' investors, and up to 20% for 'aggressive'. I think he said that in #CurrencyWars, but I don't have my copy handy at the moment. He hasn't been saying that recently, and not sure what changed his tune there. I think he pushes #FineArt far too much, as I think that any type of fine art should be way down the list for people with less than $1M in investable assets (note - he does talk about 'fine art funds', but i still feel this way). And I agree! Was much more pessimistic than I expected getting into the last few chapters. But he's set it up for his '4th book' to probably be the 'solutions' book (that's my guess...and btw, #TheNewCaseForGold doesn't count as part of the 'quartet') of #books. For the record (again), I really like #JimRickards books. But I think it's useful to point out what I like/don't like when it comes to anyone I follow (with the 'God's Gold' thing going in the 'don't like category, lol :P ...and to be fair, it's possible he barely had any input in that writing as well, with professional copywriters getting paid big bucks for the sales pitch) #mbgtrends #newbies

I believe it's a 'complete' version. But it's hefty, and not easy to take with you. Anyway, you can find ISBNs to all the other 'bubble' books in the notes below the youtube video. #books #bubblebooks (*EDIT - tagging to #mbgtrends in case others are interested)
