@Excelsior @courtninja - OK you've forced my hand (haha!) and I promise this is the last time I'll post a #Cobalt list today. At least this one should be properly tagged and inclusive of all the suggestions different contributors offered up. Hope this helps! @PamplonaTrader Just added another 150k shs of $ARL.AX. Still ridiculously cheap, especially with peers also up 20% e.g. $ECS $NZC.AX $COB.AX etc #cobalt

@Mxpx80 @R44 @jamjam I agree, I posted $ECS as a hotpick 2 weeks ago at .87 and was told by @samuraiSmash it wasn't a hotpick. $ECS hit $1.14 today. Stocks may not be a hotpick that day but may pay off in the next week or 2. If something has an upcoming catalyst it should be allowed to be discussed. Otherwise we can just talk about MOS 95 percent of the time.

@CriticalInvestor @PamplonaTrader Didn't look into $ARL.AX yet, but eCobalt $ECS is barely economic at an average grade of 0.55% and with Cu/Au credits, where does 0.05% bring you in all this? Is this open pit laterite vs UG hard rock playing out?

@PamplonaTrader @CriticalInvestor higher grade portion of the deposit is 50Mt @ 0.12% Co and 0.86% Ni vs ICP copper grades at around 0.73%, if I recall. Nickel is almost double the price of copper. Also, Ardea has scale, unlike $ECS. I think Ardea's KNP should compare favorably to $CLQ.AX's Syerston.

@Mr.Smokey @CriticalInvestor $ECS is not 'barely economic'. When I check in the 2015 PEA for current Co prices, the IRR is around 34% and the post-tax 8.5%-NPV around 200M. Thats not super great, but it is clearly very economic. Plus it is in North America and could start production relatively soon, both factors make it all the more likely that it really gets into production. That said, the current valuation already takes all this into account for the most part, imo.

@CriticalInvestor @Mr.Smokey You are correct, I assumed cobalt prices needing to be $19.50/lb for post-tax IRR of 24% from the top of my head, but those were cobalt sulfate heptahydrate prices.

@Mr.Smokey @CriticalInvestor You are right in that it is not easy to follow the numbers in the $ECS PEA. Just today I stumbled over this sentence in the PEA for $CLQ.AX "The cobalt industry is primarily set up to produce chemicals (rather than metal) for use in a range of applications, including for the production of cathode precursors for lithium ion batteries. As such, while cobalt sulphate sometimes attracts a premium over the LMB cobalt metal price, the premium, if it exists, has in recent years been relatively low." So the 20% bonus for CoSO4 over the metal that ECS thinks they will get, might not really be there. Or is CLQ.AX underestimating their revenue? I don't know. But if EVs and storage really take off, then the demand increase will be specific to the sulphates, so a premium will be justified, I guess.

@Jayfire @Mr.Smokey Great finding! Something worth following up on for sure... All I know is that cobalt prices have only been moving in one direction ;)

@CriticalInvestor @Mr.Smokey Good find, might be that CLQ is downplaying this premium to create doubt on competitors as well, but being conservative on something not that transparent is a good thing too in my view.

@PamplonaTrader Maybe to give themselves (CLQ) some flexibility on process flowsheet.

@mineralised @brendan I agree that DRC is improving but the speculation on non-DRC cobalt is still valid because actual conditions and reported conditions do not need to be aligned for markets to respond, and speculators+press releases are controlling LME cobalt price right now which is driving the equities. My portfolio is 70%+ based in DRC precisely because of the sovereign discount applied to world class resources, and I am comfortable with the conditions there. $NZC.AX has moved past a valuation that I would normally consider fair for just Kalongwe, however exploration program could deliver another Kalongwe and make it cheap again (still very cheap vs $ECS for example). Look at $AFM, again very high quality core asset and unbelievable exploration potential. $ANL.AX incredible land holding, soon will be cheap based on Giro alone. $AVZ.AX holds 60% of the largest spodumene resource on earth with tin credits. Question is do you prefer geological risk or jurisdiction risk. You can't change the geology but you can back people that can handle the jurisdiction. Anyway - good to see a fellow DRC believer.

@hunterresources @brian What makes $CSR so interesting in your opion. I own $FT, $CUZ, $PAM, $CPO and $ECS. Haven't heard anything about $CSR yet. Looking to diversify some more a getting some of the gains with the others off the table. Thanx

@hunterresources @brian I don't trade these stocks I buy them because I believe in the big bull market for commodities we're in right now. I think it can take 5-10 years and we're just past the first year. Strategy is to buy and hold and sell half on a double, $CPO $FT $ECS and $PAM have doubled, but I still have to sell half of $CPO and $PAM. I am looking into the story and numbers before deciding to jump on $CSR. Let you know my humble opinion.

@tooearly $ECS is targeting only 1500 tonnes per year of cobalt production yet they already have a market cap of $180M CDN fully diluted. at $50k US per tonne cobalt pricing, they will only revenue $100M CDN per year. I can see more upside buying $KAT to be honest. #cobalt

@Jayfire @PhotoJ I don't know too much about $ARL.AX but I do know they have a very large nickel/cobalt resource, which maybe wasn't so economical over the previous bear market (then again, what was?), but with cobalt prices having doubled in the last six months, I'm sure the economics look a lot better now... I think there's a high-grade zone as well which would make sense to target first... @PamplonaTrader and @MiningBookGuy would be better people to comment on current progress... From a Enterprise Value/Total Resource, from the charts I've seen, $ARL.AX ranks as one of the best value plays in cobalt... I went with $ECS even though it's a much smaller project b/c they're close to putting out a PFS any minute now and then the next steps should be offtakes and mine financing... I'm speculating on a re-rate and hopefully we get investors pouring in over Tesla hype since Idaho is next door to Nevada... But $ECS isn't necessarily cheap, although in the right market environment things do tend to get bid up pretty crazily... We'll see... #cobalt #mbgtrends

@0Kib Sold out of my $ECS awhile back at $1.2xx levels. Had entered around $0.5 levels and only because the #cobalt grades were exceptional (4-5x better than peers) and mine was operational in the past and is just ~200 odd Kms from the Tesla Gigafactory in Nevada. But the resouce itself is subscale. It was a tiny position and despite a double I barely made chump change.
