@racker$OCN Glenn Jessome's Oceanus Resources Corp. (OCN), up 1.5 cents to 22 cents on 544,000 shares, has received assays of up to 1.17 grams of gold and 13.2 grams of silver per tonne over 95.6 metres at its El Tigre project in the Sonora region of Mexico. Several other encouraging assays were obtained from the latest nine holes drilled at El Tigre. The results are similar to those from the first seven holes that were completed in mid-September. The company has now drilled a total of 19 holes along the 1,600-metre-long deposit.
The property has been explored intermittently over the past 30 years. It also supported a big mine for 35 years in the early 1900s. Old reports suggest El Tigre produced up to 350,000 ounces of gold and 75 million ounces of silver at grades of 7.5 grams of gold and 1,200 grams of silver per tonne. Although the high-grade rock is now gone, Mr. Jessome, president and CEO, says the results so far support the company's hypothesis that El Tigre "could be another bulk tonnage project" in the prolific Sierra Madre Occidental region of Mexico. He adds that the latest assays "further exhibit wide oxidized zones" of outcropping gold and silver mineralization. In other words, he hopes to make up through tonnage what El Tigre lacks in grade.
Mr. Jessome, who became president and CEO two years ago, does not draw a salary. He is nevertheless amply compensated, as Oceanus is paying over $215,000 in consulting fees to his private company in fiscal 2016. His predecessor, Richard Gordon, did draw a salary. He earned $150,000 in fiscal 2014. www.stockwatch.com Gold Summary for Oct. 18, 2016 http://www.stockwatch.com/News/Item.aspx?bid=Z-C:*MKTGOLD-2413674&symbol=*MKTGOLD®ion=C
SpankyyYes $XOP is a high impact drill in Liberia with Exxon on board. They are drilling in November. Another high Impact drill happening in November is for $NRN at Sequoi. Both can surprise all the analysts in case of success.
SpankyyGreat collection @PamplonaTrader$XOP and $NRN. Both can go very high BUT both can also go very low... based on the results. But one thing is similar is that both are very high impact drills. Hope the shareholders are rewarded.
Cdnxtracker$RTM spoke with management the other day and wasn't told Norwalk property may get some drilling activity shortly as well. But if these Ballard Lake assays come in with significant goodness amounts or sign of kimberlite watch out

@lukejacksonEl Tigre -the "low hanging fruit" (per Cantor) is the million - million + 1/2 ounces oxides in the starter pit. Exploration to the south could change the story. If recoveries hold up that grade is actually very good for oxides. There aren't many new stories of multimillion ounce deposits of good grade in good jurisdiction. Would be a takeout target IMHO - they have 6 million in cash so are funded for this 11,000 metres and an initial resource. 25 million market cap. $OCN
@racker@starfire an Irwin-backed explorer is still an explorer (expected to fail). Note the $NXE position size -- 30.2 million shares worth ~ $55 million, vs a non-insider $NRN position (worth under $2.8 million). He bets small pre-discovery (relatively) and so should we.
@moonshot5Bought more $FR and $FPC this morn. I think First Majestic has similar upside to my usual play Impact ($IPT) but has better liquidity. Falco should easily be double this price in my view. There are few equivalents to Falco in size or potential.

@rackerDave Barr, Penderfund CEO, is on BNN now talking about orphaned small-caps as a result of ETFs.
“People are selling the stocks that active managers buy and buying the stocks that indexes buy,” causing a valuation gap.
Talking up Tio Networks $TNC, trading at 9x cashflow, when companies in indexes are trading at 15-20x. Tio's now reached critical mass, Barr says, and can pass on price increases to customers without losing business- a good sign. He's been following it since 2001.
Quantum Corp $QTM, a US data storage company, growth-industry. An activist investor is involved and has signed a standstill til December 9th. Something's going to happen, according to Barr. Could be a sale of the company or a financing. "Either way it's going to be a positive for the stock."
