@HRA-Coffin Doesn't seemed to have dawned on gold traders that if we get some price push inflation from higher oil prices real interest rates will go more negative. Odds are the Fed raises in December but if oil makes the CPI tick up a few tenths of a percent it won't matter and I don't see the Fed being brave enough to actually "normalize" rates under those conditions. Wall St. would crash.

@Allan eric, I'm still not convinced they will raise in December. They know what happened last year when they pulled the trigger. Can't see how they can ever normalize with 20 trillion in national debt and 25 trillion in household debt, and growing.

@Allan I know ever is a long time, but I'm wondering how much real economic growth would need to happen with the weight of that debt could handle normalized rates of lets say around 2.5.

@HRA-Coffin You would presumably need real GDP growth rates equal to, or at least close to, real interest rates which implies real growth rates of 3.5 to 4.5%. That is a long way off.

@dirkdiggler Nice shinny look @Allan. I was expecting something more, I don't know.....something more, First Nations-esque. Any chance you can show us an outline?

@Allan dirk, it's in the book my friend. I had some other ideas, but I told my publisher that if it makes people want to pick the book up and read it I will be happy. I left it to them, and I love how it came out. If I saw that book cover and was an investor, I would pick it up.

@Highheat In economics, the Jevons paradox occurs when technological progress increases the efficiency with which a resource is used (reducing the amount necessary for any one use), but the rate of consumption of that resource rises because of increasing demand. #OIL

@Allan @Pete, haven't really thought of a pitch for the book. I guess I better think of one because I gotta sell this thing soon.

@Allan I suppose I need to market not only against other investment books, but books in general as I'm competing for a reader's time.

@CriticalInvestor @Allan nice basic design, personally I would have used a concept visualizing the title more (smoke signals + investing, now it's just investing), and leave out the second subtitle, gets a bit crowded. And you don't see two subtitles very often for investment books. Just my 0.02

@Allan CI, not sure, the publisher and I haven't got to that yet. I will ask her. Most of this I'm leaving in her hands, she does her homework and knows what works.

@Allan goldrush, my first editor now publishes books and is very good at it and knows all the ins and outs. She helped me build the structure to write the book and all the rest of the work. She is awesome and saved me so much time.

wannabeinvestor Thanks, looks like a good candidate to play the bounce. Otherwise a fantastic opportunity to accumulate $KLG -- following the merger the new entity must be the highest-grade mid-tier miner out there selling at a single digit cash-flow multiple.
