@MiningBookGuy@FundamentalAnalysis RE: https://ceo.ca/mbgtrends?1287396c0fcc - decent clip, i saw the whole Druckenmiller clip a while ago. just wanted to say that I find it particularly difficult to 'copy' his way of investing/trade (definitely 'trading' is a better way to put it). His interview in a 'Market Wizards' book is invaluable. But just one of many ways to make money...best thing for #newbies IMO is to read/learn about many different ways of trading/investing/speculating, see what works or doesn't work for you.
And yes, I agree with challenging the status quo! :) #mbgtrends
@AlanGood interview with #jimrogers for #sprott. He talks about #gold#silver and believes they will go lower still. Remember no one can predict where the price will go. Personally at the minute I think having a good amount of physical gold, silver and cash is wise. It will be useful for when a recession occurs to snap up some bargains. Consider some high quality investments to generate some cash-flow and some strategic speculations when bargain opportunities arise. https://youtu.be/3TNmEY8mfJM+
@FundamentalAnalysis@bullmarketmove Good stuff.....I've not agreed with all her picks but she has and still does hold some high quality names which should do well. Overall she has her head screwed on more then other gold fund managers I've met who for the most part are just management fee collectors. I regularly check her monthly fact sheets, to see how she is progressing and to see if there are any names I could "steal" which I'm not aware of. If I were to make a critical comment, I get the feeling based on previous picks she probably relies more then I would like on PEA/PFS/FS ....and the question of how reliable those studies are is something I think she doesn't look into very much (expertise would obviously be one barrier). Likewise she has held companies going from PEA to construction...etc....or in one case it was no studies and straight to production via Tribute mining model which obviously hasn't worked out to date......
@Nick@MiningBookGuy Fully agree with all your points regarding the banter you've had with @0Kib on $MSR.AX - Anyone looking at $HRC would be mad not to take a good hard look at $MSR.AX... Having done my own research this weekend I would easily favour $MSR.AX as they are fully cash-backed (~13m mcap with ~13m in the bank) and are set to obtain a project that has to be worth multiples of what $HRC has - Yet respective market caps are similar. Not #silly at all to compare these two plays considering they're also both in Tanzania as stated already by @MiningBookGuy. I would easily argue the Victoria Gold Project that $MSR.AX is looking to acquire is light years ahead when it comes to development, size and quality - over 30m+ USD has been spent across the project. @0Kib If you read into $MSR.AX news releases you'll see they're going to be releasing more due diligence on the VGP in the coming weeks/months. There's also plenty of information on HotCopper and Resolute's $RSG.AX annual reports from prior years about Nyakafuru and the VGP. This link is their latest presentation - The quality of this package of deposits and exploration prospects is undeniable: https://hotcopper.com.au/documentdownload?id=uOMxKKzFkiWRTLKhOROKAxjvTDYC4we%2ByhiZreRrke92GA%3D%3D
I will be watching $HRC going forward and do hope both of these Tanzanian plays are successful! It's good for the jurisdiction and peers. #Tanzania#mbgtrends
@MiningBookGuy@Alan RE: https://ceo.ca/mbgtrends?fca87b794f96 - thanks for sharing this #jimrogers interview. I'm a bit surprised he's so stubborn with his 'gold below $1000' prediction. i thought he might 'adjust' to saying it would go lower, but maybe just to $1100-1200 as a final bottom (but that's closer to what i think...and i give it far less than a 50% chance at this point).
but i still like the way he describes everything, basically telling people NOT to listen to him and do their own research, but giving his opinions anyway. #mbgtrends
@Alan@bullmarketmove- another good one mate. Never heard of Amanda before. @miningbookguy- who knows, maybe #gold will drop that low. Even if it did, #jimrogers would be fine I'm sure :) if it did drop that low, it would certainly test people's staying power. Yeah I agree, price predictions are just that...opinions.

@FundamentalAnalysis@Alan The case for physical gold in $ terms being Neutral (range bound) in my opinion is very very strong. The case for being bullish is fairly strong but not as strong as the majority in my opinion think. The case for being bearish as in Sub $1000 is weak....quite honestly I just cannot see it happening unless govt made holding gold by private individuals illegal, introducing special gold taxes, changing the margins required for gold trading, or allowing interest rates to get ahead of inflation to oust trump or maybe another liquidity crisis. I've tried to make a bear case for gold and I just cannot present a case....always open to opinions...... In normal trading the only way it could happen is just usual volatility, prices swinging both ways including down....but gold crashing into another long bear market...900s 800s 700s just cannot see it.

@Alan@FundamentalAnalysis- I completely agree with you. I believe gold will go up over time. But I also realise what I believe may not occur and its good to mentally prepare yourself for the potential downside. If we have a recession #gold probably will decline in price, or said another way, cash will increase in value. The problem is people still think government will solve all their problems and until that changes gold may lag a little. But on the other note, it may not.
@Excelsior Here’s a great Video interview with Don Durrett. Don is a very sharp guy on investing in #Jr#Miners, (and is the man behind http://www.goldstockdata.com/companies.html which is one of my “Go-To” places for researching the universe of mining stocks out there).
> This is a longer interview but they cover a lot of ground and it is worth the listen:

@0Kib@Excelsior Don Durrett's take on #Silver in his book is one of the best I've read. He reckons it goes past $100 and perhaps even $150.

@MiningBookGuy@Allan RE: https://ceo.ca/index?fe9f01506eda - quote from you: "Looking at if they are in a mining friendly jurisdictions, with well known geology from past exploration and mining, and the access and infrastructure to make the economics of exploration and development less expensive."
I agree with a lot of what you said. But if you want to go 'big', you've got to look for geology that is NOT well know, true #greenfields. And jurisdictions that might become more 'mining friendly' over time (reality vs perception). Access/infrastructure are important...but scale + high-grade even more important for getting to Tier 1! This applies across commodities. #exploration#greenfields#mbgtrends#newbies
@MiningBookGuy@Excelsior - thanks for sharing the Don Durrett video! I haven't seen this one yet, will try to take a look soon.
@0Kib - any other quick comments on Don Durrett's take on #silver from his book? a lot of people expect silver to blast through $100-$150 (and have been expecting it for a while). Maybe some unique points from him?
I should probably read it, but got a big book list...going to head out and read some other stuff right now! #mbgtrends
@JayfireI misspoke, the $1.36 placement was for 9.9% stake in $IVN, and $412 million was for just 49.5% of Kamoa project alone... #mybad

@FundamentalAnalysis@jayfire Yup $IVN was definitely a no brainer stock back then, I remember thinking this is trading for cash in the bank, assets for free. With hindsight one wonders why didn't I just put more in at the start!!!! I even remember sending my portfolio to rick rule for evaluation back in January 16, and he put Ivanhoe as his top pick pick. All stars were aligned back then.....
@StealinatorWhen I watched RR's short interview yesterday I was like BAH! , 1/3 way through the bull already? doubt it. My thought being due to massive dump of jr's in 2015 , down to 90 yr lows, set the stage for a big bounce (2016) back up to a where they should have been, compared with POG. Given that logic, we would still be in the first leg up of the bull, price wise. On listening to RR a second time, my thought is he was talking about being 1/3 through in time, not price.
@Vaughan@Excelsior, I remember that chart and I also recall a conversation we carried on (I believee in MBGTrends) that convinced me to now only sell half on the double, but to just unload that that point in time. Good move in retrospect so thanks for pushing the thought process forward with me. #Uranium#MBGTrends
@BenitezI am a newbie and my limited research has taken me to Peel Mining $PEX.AX. The exploration target at Wagga Tank looks to me like a good intercept with hole WTRC003 giving email@example.com%Zn, 6.41%Pb, 89%g/tAg, 0.42g/tAu ,0.21%Cu from 250m. The market hasn’t reacted the way Canadian markets would react to these results. They are also currently drilling at Wirlong where they hope to find richer mineralization at depth. Apologies in advance as I am still learning every day, however am I missing something here or does it look like a good investment at this stage? #ASX-Stocks#mbgtrends
