@ocotilloredux Another kick in the teeth for zinc supply. I mentioned in my India module that I was not in love with the looks of those open pit walls. This from Vedanta's quarterly results... However, concurrent mining at Rampura Agucha is leading to geotechnical challenges in both the open pit and underground. After deliberations with internal and global technical experts, Vedanta decided to modify Stage V and limit the incremental pit depth to 30 metres. This will mitigate pit wall challenges and significantly reduce waste-ore ratio, providing a fresh impetus to accelerating mine development at the underground mine in a safe manner.

@MartinTurenne $aqm interested to generate some discussion on the $tck buyout. Zafranal project needs copper well over $3 to be feasible. very healthy 50% premium to VWAP sets the takeout price at a level $aqm hasn't traded at in over 4.5 years. M&A like this, even if it's an easy rollup, augurs well for #copper juniors and base metals juniors generally.

@ocotilloredux I had a look at Nevsun's Bisha today and I suspect they will get over their mill issues shortly. The metallurgical work was in their 2006 NI 43-101 and it clearly showed that the primary ore samples were oxidizing rapidly (pyrite) and this was killing the ability to make a decent copper concentrate. When they used fresh samples everything turned out well in the lab. So if they send ore from the pit face right to the mill this should help solve their problems. $nsu

@Excelsior @Goldfinger & @Benedict - I just got back around to the index and saw your discussion on the Clive Maund article. Great points guys. Please don't interpret my posts as an endorsement of any given editorial or article. I often disagree with part or all of a given piece, but post them to get the dialogue going. Often I get more clarity out of crystalizing my thinking from disagreement or dissecting a position than endless goldbug rah-rah. I did put the #AndThenTheresMaund to indicate the slightly wacky perspective he has in his narratives at times. :-) The statement that Clive's technical charts and analysis are fairly good is on point, but some of his headlines or statements are very over-the-top. He's all over the mulberry bush sometimes. I just don't know what to do with the ole' Cliver, but when I see an article from him.... I post it.

@Quantum As someone who's gotten my fair share of opportunities in this world, I try not to rain on others parades. I have to say though i find it shocking @Allan is now CEO of two companies. Large portion of that is jealousy I will admit. Running a small business myself and employing around 50 people I understand what it means to have people rely on you for their incomes and the troubles and tribulations of running a company. Running a public company is a whole other story, I imagine. I also understand the concept of walking before running. I may be a new spectator to this industry, but I can't for the life of me understand how this guy is qualified to be CEO of two public companies if his words and actions on this board are any indication for his real life demeanor and abilities. But hey I'm just a guy on a message board and you run two public companies so the f do i know.Best of luck to you.

@Maggee Being a CEO also requires a fiduciary duty and a duty of care. Failure in either of these two areas can leave the Officer of the company with potential personal liabilities. That was one reason I thought it was wise of Tim to remove himself from that position when he discovered the problem with the fees in Mexico. The courts will hold the CEO liable if they fail in their duty of care and fiduciary duty. There is also an obligation to bring opportunities forward to the corporation rather than pursue them independently. I don't know how this works when someone is an officer of two corporations and has split allegiances.

@teevee I don't expect any upside until and unless there is a discovery as the flow through buyers are probably already selling ahead of the news and closing. Flow through funds are only interested in capturing the spread between their purchase price and after tax cost base and will use the stock to deliver against a discovery if one is made (short selling insurance). This is just one of the reasons why I absolutely hate seeing flow through financings.

@newstracker I have given myself a couple of days to chill out on my observations on Red Eagle $R. I am pretty positive on the company, the exploration potential is huge and there is plenty in the pipeline to be mined currently. The company is managing any jurisdiction risk by implementing an impressive Corporate Social Responsibility Program in the area. The management is knowledgeable and am impressed with their ability to integrate the community into the project. That being said, there is still commodity prices risk and unforeseen events that could affect production at the mine such as political or technical problems. I feel that it is not a bad place to put some money in the Venture Space, if you want to. I am not telling anyone to buy or sell the stock DYODD, just sharing my thoughts after a site visit. #Colombia.

@Maggee We don't want to hit Pyrrhotite or Graphite, which are more or less the only other things this anomaly could be. They don't think it is graphite because that is not magnetic, and they don't think it is pyrrhotite because that is hosted in sedimentary rock and generally appears to be a long intrusion. The irregularities of this target don't appear to be sedimentary rock. The most likely thing is a mafic intrusion and that equals ni-cu-pge's. All we have to really show is sulphides.

@Maggee I thought it was a lukewarm "potential importance" of the till samples. At any rate if you believe the theory of the dispersion pattern it also implies the material right over the anomaly is from somewhere else. It's not important and doesn't detract from the real point which is the drilling.

@rockman @B1984 just for reference purposes Hole 2 at Voisey's Bay was 2.23% ni and 1.47% cu (33 m interval). Hole 7 (the ovoid) was 3.9% ni and 2.8% cu (104 m interval) and Hole 8 was 3.79% ni and 2.78% cu (111 m interval). So anything in the vicinity of these numbers would be a home run for NRN.

@HRA-Coffin Keep in mind how much ground $ADZ added to their holdings this year. Most of what they are flying they didn't own six months ago. They have changed the model and say that the mapping they have been doing all summer backs up the new model and the combination of that mapping, the airborne survey and geochem should finalize the target list. I hoped they would move faster too but I agree with Luke on that one. #Kolebaba has told me that most of his shareholders have been telling him to get the surveys done and prioritize the targets and not to go off half cocked with the drill program. The area has apparently never had a large scale airborne survey done by any of the companies mining there past and present which is sort of amazing really.
