@Excelsior@MiningBookGuy - forgot to say well done on your Orca Gold video clip. Very well done and also an interesting case study on how to follow a CEO.CA room for a pick up in news and activity, and even how your views and take on Orca changed over time. Good stuff man. Keep on keepin' on!
@MiningBookGuy$EDV - Endeavour reports maiden resource for its recent Ity Mine discoveries and identifies several new exploration targets http://hugin.info/171882/R/2054698/769266.pdf#gold#IvoryCoast#index

@Excelsior@MiningBookGuy- I've been traveling quite a bit the last 2 weeks and haven't had as much time to pop on here, but just wanted to say how much I appreciate the updates here in ~AUfrica

@MiningBookGuy@Excelsior - thanks for the additional kind words! i've been a little out of it this week...but that's mostly due to trying to buy stocks on the cheap...hopefully not too early! i think i've got an article or two i forgot to post in ~AUfrica...will try to dig those up now.

@MiningBookGuyoh, before looking for those articles, $CDV.AX just got absolutely crushed this week! i took a massive hit on my position (lucky for me it's quite a small position...maybe what held me back was my big mistake with $ORE). in any case, we seem to have 2 'pretty big' disasters in #WestAfrica with $ORE and $CDV.AX ...both projects could still work (I think $ORE is in better shape right now, but $CDV.AX is earlier stage and has further growth potential). But it's taken the sails out of various African plays, while at the same time showing how few 'good' (let alone 'great') projects are out there. We just need to realize that economic #gold discoveries will be GREATLY rewarded, and #Africa is one of the places to look for them. #discovery#exploration

@MiningBookGuy$EDV - Endeavour poised to approve $307m Ity project in 2017 http://www.miningmx.com/top-story/28412-endeavour-poised-approve-307m-ity-project-2017/#IvoryCoast
Good companion piece to the NR earlier this week. Ity seems to be an impressive project, good economics with plenty of exploration potential. While $EDV can seem overvalued, they are absolutely the leaders in putting together these ~100k-200k oz/year producing mines. I love this 1-2 punch of #Hounde in #BurkinaFaso and #Ity in #IvoryCoast, I believe both of of those are sharing the 'flagship' position.
Also note that the CEO is talking about Endeavour possibly paying dividends soon! I'm personally not a big fan of this. But keep in mind $RRS.L has done the same thing (very successfully), and I believe $EDV is modelling their company on $RRS.L, with high-quality, low-cost projects, and the dividends are something European investors especially like (with both of these companies focusing on them as a core shareholders). Just some thoughts from me on this.
@ExcelsiorAsanko Gold $AKG is a Top #Takeover Target After Impressive Q3 Results
Toronto, Ontario (FSCwire) - Posted By Smallcappower - November 10, 2016
"We first wrote about the Asanko Gold Inc. $AKG story back in April, speculating that its low-cost production and country synergies would make the Company an ideal acquisition candidate for Newmont Mining Corporation $NEM . Since then, Asanko’s stock price has surged more than 45% and its most recent financial/operating results suggest that the Company is firing on all cylinders and may attract the attention other suitors..."
@FundamentalAnalysis@MiningBookGuy Thanks. Currently I am only aware of $KEFI as a publicly listed company which has an advanced project in Ethiopia, which is currently in financing phase. I have spoken to the enquired with the management, and it looks like they have continuously pushed back the financing deadlines despite mentioning that the government is on Board. My suspicion is the deposit is too small for financiers to take the risk. The grade is also highly variable, and the plan was to finance the mine with mostly debt, so any hiccups during production and they will end up with cash flow issues. Apart from that, I'm not aware of any advanced exploration projects there.

@MiningBookGuy@FundamentalAnalysis - yes, $KEFI.L$KEFI is the most advanced in #Ethiopia. btw, you will see more posts on $KEFI.L in that room, there was a guy @Paul from the UK who followed it closely, but he hasn't been around in a while.
You can check #Ethiopia room for more info as well. $EAM is trying to move forward with a smaller scale project than $KEFI.L (or I should say multiple projects, but I need to look closer). Anyway, those are some additional rooms to look into if you're interested in #Ethiopia. I would like to see more juniors enter this country, as well as the rest of the #ArabianNubianShield.
*EDIT - i noticed @Paul posted in the $KEFI room. this is a slight issue at ceo.ca -- sometimes you will miss info because of ticker confusion ('KEFI' being AIM listed is supposed to have a '.L' at the end, but many of the posts are just in the 'KEFI' room). Anyway, you have already seen some, and I just realized that.
@MiningBookGuyTanzania: Mining Firms in Tanzania Must Float 30% Stake on Dar Bourse http://allafrica.com/stories/201611150757.html#Tanzania#mining
Hmm, immediate thoughts-- might be some unintended consequences, possibly negative. But government clearly wants mining to be a bigger part of the economy, I liked this quote from the article:
"Tanzania's mining sector has made tremendous progress over the past 20 years but its contribution to the country's GDP has never exceeded five per cent. The government is targeting a 10 per cent contribution to GDP in the next ten years, which is when the country expects to attain middle-income status."
