Interesting interview with Victoria Gold (V.VIT) CEO John McConnell over at motherlodetv.net

“Right now we are planning to do our first pour in mid-September and do a live broadcast during the Denver Gold Forum,” said McConnell. “We want to do a Grand Opening of the Mine on Victoria Day 2020 when we’ve achieved commercial production. Our stretch internal goal is to achieve commercial production by the end of 2019, but we are pretty certain to have achieved it by Q2 2020.”

Take away is that Victoria is a month ahead of schedule building the Eagle Mine in the Yukon.  But from the investor perspective, it is even more interesting that Orion bought Osisko's entire equity position - 154 million shares. This takes their average price per share to around $0.48. Orion does not tend to make investment mistakes.

VIT is trading around $0.40 and is a good bet to be re-rated first when Eagle pours its first gold, second when Eagle hits commercial production.
