@EvenPrime@Rulingmining wrote the following on my channel earlier today https://ceo.ca/@evenprime?0453999b10c3
I've copied it below;
"Just want to say your request to have everyone in your contest talk about their picks is
1) Very annoying.
2) Guys are posting their entire portfolios tagging everything.
Personally I do not really care about the competition or someone's picks at an arbitrary point in time. I am already following the people who's opinion I appreciate."
What he wrote above is an F- in Communications 101
If someone wrote that to you, what would you think? Can you feel the negativity in the words? Can you see the lack of regard for other peoples' opinions? I absolutely love studying this sort of thing. This is an extreme example so one should easily be able to 'feel' the tone set and recognize his emotional state. But I often get this information from a regular persons regular post. I can tell you when your persona changes and how you truly feel about a stock whether you even personally recognized it yourself.
Communication is extremely important.
And to answer @RulingMining's post is simple: No, sorry I do not 'care' how you 'feel,' I am not your mother.
Now with that said; below is what @RulingMining 'meant' to write me;
" Dear Evenprime. (Always start with complement whether u mean it or not) Excellent job on the Stocking Picking Contest. I think it really encourages other people to get engaged. Personally for myself, I do not use it as I find myself already busy with the connections I've made. Im not actually sure I really do see value in what you are doing, although I am sure it must be so. Possibly you could enlighten me?
Anyway, I do have a concern. You mentioned the other day that you wished others to write about how their stock picks have performed and how things have changed since their original thesis. I think this is an excellent idea as it could possibly help newbies get an understanding of why they made the decisions they did. Unfortuneately for me, I feel it has gotten side tracked and everyone is now posting their current portfolios. Again this is fine, as I choose to ignore it, but the problem is I am subscribed to many of these channels and keep getting a load of emails and its quite bothersome. I understand this isn't your issue, and I appreicate everything you have done. But you also seem to have some pull on this site and maybe you could say or do something about it. - Thanks bud!
And my response would be:
@EvenPrime: Sure bud! I agree, it did get a bit out of control. Was defiantely not my intention. I'll see what I can do.
@MimibegaloThank You @EvenPrime! happy to see my portfolio on the 8th position and hopefully will be in the top 3 soon when $mms and $pli brings fruits I am up thanks to $pyr. And very excited to see how my bonus pick $ion will do
@peteI have to admit i posted my current portfolio not considering how annoying the tagging could be when followed by others. I had the same irritation of having multiple notifications for the exact same post. I'll consider this in the future to keep the company channels clean-er. #specportfolio
@EvenPrimeMaking 3 accounts and getting all 3 banned just to bash an ex-company is borderline psychotic. The guy needs help. This isnt normal. Id block all 254 ip's in the range to make sure he can't come back. Sucks for his neighbours if they trued to join but lets run the statistical chance of that happening
@EvenPrimeIn all honesty @YLR when $NXE went from 2.85 last year to 1.56 or whatever that bottom was, I never once felt worried. I was just saving more money to load the truck up when she popped. And when you guys all called the turn-around I backed the truck up :) I know what you mean though as weak hands will break, and I believe the stronger hands may try to shake the tree here soon to do just that. But a generational deposit (disregarding black swan events) is a pretty damn good investment in my opinion. (I say that when I mentioned I sold all my $NXE last week at 2.20 to buy TK(up 12%) $SBB(up 22%) and an IPO) but ... I will definitely get back in when the time is right. I sold 1/2 my $SBB yesterday to take those gains.
@teevee@EvenPrime, weak hands, strong hands? you are talking retail....most $NXE is now held by funds, institutions and well heeled sophisticated investors. When markets correct, and funds and institutions have to meet redemptions or obligations, they sell evenly across their holdings, or if there is a liquidity issue, what ever has a bid. In a downturn, NXE could spike down on redemption driven selling. If you see this as a possibility, put in stink bids at prices you are prepared to pay. Sometimes you get filled. It has happened for me more than once.
@EvenPrime@dirkdiggler - how is the book coming along? Had a chat the other day at MIF with a few boys and one of them brought it up and said he is excited to read it. I agreed! Give us the scoop! Also, feel free to send me more links to music you like. You and I seem to like the exact same stuff. I'm loving that Carbon Based LifeForms link - perfect when I study and don't want to hear words. And that Tool link last time re-inspired me to get back listening to them again. Its been awesome!
@dirkdigglerI'm just taking a break from editing chapter 11 @EvenPrime (I have 13 chapters in total....450 pages). I've had a few personal setbacks lately, aside from permanently losing 3 chapters last month (and all of my notes) when my computer crashed. But it's more or less finished....just need to tweak it, edit it, add a few more anecdotes here and there. Meeting with a journalist friend on the weekend who read one of my longer chapters - bumped into him briefly today at Starbucks and he seemed excited....said he had to read it twice. Sooooo.....it's coming. Thanks for asking!
@EvenPrimeOh no @dirkgiggler my gf would be your worst critic not you😉 but seriously take advantage of your assets as I believe you may have something really worth sharing. The thing about writing a good book is you must be willing to reveal your insecurities. Not just in the story but in also how it is written. I'm sure @TheGalvanizer will rough u up a bit as well but believe me in the end....itll ve a masterpiece. *im just soapin ya up cuz i want a precopy 😉
@dirkdigglerLOL! Well, I'll ya @EvenPrime....if nothing else it'll be entertaining. It's way too crazy to be fiction.....I still scratch my head over some of the shit that happened. Pop ups @THeGalvanizer? I'm going to give that some serious thought!
@Vaughan@EvenPrime, it a reverse chart. Tanking price on the chart is rising price in the market, hence tanking to $.4.40. @wannabeinvestor, I dont think @ylr has a problem with $NXE, in fact I'm pretty sure by being on this site he learned quite a bit about the asset and understands its importance and significance to the sector more.
@MadeOfRubber@EvenPrime Liked your comment. I know its not relevant to $ME, but I worked for a few global publicly traded companies before I started my own gig in '04. It was a common occurrence for a mediocre or poor manager to get a 'promotion' and it frustrated the hell out of us all the time. In this case, without looking at L2/market depth it would be interesting to see who is doing the buying and/or if it's due to gold season starting up or just a bot following last years pattern.
@EvenPrimeGood posts in response. Thank you guys. I do suppose better for them to own up and admit their issues. From an ex shareholder perspective I lost confidence in them around October/November and i believe this response is 5 months too late. I'm a #newbie so dont bash my opinions as I'm still learning but to me this goes into the "bad management" bin as communication is extremely important.
@EvenPrimeI wish everyone the best and it looks like it will do well here in the next bit but moving forward I question how I will not use this company and the outcome since the last private placement as an example and learning tool of things to look out for.
@EvenPrime@racker I wish everyone read and understood that article. It Is spot on and even scientist struggle with this concept. It is why I am always of the believe that I know nothing. Keeps me humble
