This article will outline some interesting area plays surrounding the Windfall Project located 200KM North East from Val-d’Or. Oban recently acquired NioGold Mining Corp. trough an all share deal and has plenty of cash left. If gold holds and we see some good drill results we might see some consolidation is this area.

This article will outline some interesting area plays surrounding the Windfall Project located 200KM North East from Val-d’Or. Oban recently acquired NioGold Mining Corp. trough an all share deal and has plenty of cash left.
On October 20th 2015 announced a 55,000 metre drilling program on their 100% owned Windfall Lake Gold Project. Some recently released drill result from that program:
OBM-15-559 7.04 g/t Au over 20.4 metres
OBM-15-560 10.96 g/t Au over 6.1 metres
OBM-16-580 19.63 g/t Au over 6.0 metres
Expect some more drill results in the coming weeks.
Metanor Resources Inc. $MTO
Recently announced that it is studying the possibility of restarting gold mining operations on its 100% owned Barry Property.
The current resource estimate:
Indicated 7,701,000 tonnes at 1.25 g/t Au containing 309,500 ounces of gold.
Inferred 10,411,000 tonnes at 1.41 g/t Au containing 471,950 ounces of gold.
Bonterra Resources Inc. $BTR
On February 2nd Bonterra Resources announced a 25,000 metre drilling program on their 100% owned Gladiator Project to expand the current gold resource.
The project currently contains an Inferred Resource Estimate of:
- 905,000 tonnes grading 9.37 g/t Au for 273,000 ounces.
The company currently has $3.5 million in cash and only 52M S/O.

Beaufield Resources Inc. $BFD
Beaufield Resources Inc. announced on February 22th a 4,000 metre drill program on their 100% owned Urban property.
The company currently has $2.5 million in cash and 111M S/O
Expect drill results in the coming months.
Urbana Corporation $URB-A.TO
On February 17th Urbana Corporation announced a 2,500 metre drill program to begin next month. Previous exploration work on the property is very limited.
The exploration program is managed by Beaufield’s exploration team.
Urbana Corporation is an non-investment fund and has several holdings including $12 million worth of Barrick Gold Corp. shares.
Durango Resources Inc. $DGO
Durango Resources Inc. recently completed Phase 1 Geophysical Exploration on its Decouverte Property.
Rock sampling was conducted to allow for petrophysics laboratory study on the Decouverte rocks. All geophysical, petrophysical and geological data will be examined over the next few months and will be used to develop a model of the deep geology of the property. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
TomaGold Corp. $LOT
TomaGold Corp. is currently not focusing on its 100% owned Urban Lake project. No drilling has been completed on the project.
Golden Valley Mines Ltd. $GZZ

Hinterland Metals Inc. $HMI
In December 2011, Hinterland drilled a total of 1,186 metres in seven holes on their 100% owned Mozart property.
Hinterland Metals Inc. has not been active over the past year/year and a half.
Alto Ventures Ltd. $ATV
‘An exploration program to test some of the IP anomalies was completed in January, 2011. Eleven drill holes totaling 1,687m were completed. Each of the drill holes identified the sources of the IP anomaly, mainly pyrite and pyrrhotite but no significant gold was found associated with the sulphides. The Company has no work planned at this time but of its strategic location, is waiting for the outcome of exploration work being completed by Eagle Hill on its adjoining Windfall Lake development project.’

What is interesting is that NioGold Mining Corp. holds a 2% net royalty on Geomega Resources 100% owned Montviel REE project.
The company recently completed a private placement and the proceeds will be used to complete a PEA on the Montviel project
