The Oreninc Index decreased in the trading week ending April 1st, 2021 to 55.07 from 75.57 a week ago as the offer increased to $5.8m, a 2-week high.

On to the money: the aggregate financings announced decreased to $115 million, a 4-week low, with 3 new brokered financings and 1 new bought-deal financings announced. The average offer size increased to $5.8 million, a 2-week high, and the number of financings decreased to 20.

Gold closed the week lower at $1,726/oz from $1,732/oz a week ago. The US dollar index closed higher at 92.93 from 92.77 a week ago.

The widely followed junior mining index, the VanEck managed GDXJ, closed the week lower at $46.72 from $45.93 a week ago. HUI Arca Gold BUGS Index, which follows the major gold miners, closed the week down at 276.39 from 268.14 last week. The SPDR GLD ETF inventory closed the week down at 1,032.83 tonnes, or 33.20 million ounces, from 1,036.62 tonnes last week.

In other commodities, Silver closed the week lower at $24.94/oz from $25.14/oz a week ago. Copper closed down at $3.99/lb from $4.06/lb a week ago. Oil went higher as WTI closed down at $61.45 a barrel from $60.97 a barrel a week ago.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up at 33,152 from 33,072 a week ago. Canada’s S&P/TSX Composite Index closed up at 18,990 from 18,752 the previous week. The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index closed higher at 960.84 from 943.29 a week ago.
