@TheGalvanizerof course i have no idea on the science so look at the mgmt team attracted and if its good one would think there has to be something to the science - still at this stage they are all like explorecos with grab samples!
@TheGalvanizerLook at the Foreign Buyers Tax in Vancouver - no warning - immediate and not retroactive protection for folks under contract but not completed (that part was kinda BS but cest la vie) - would expect any change on CGE to follow that kind of path so they capture what they can as a result
@TheGalvanizerHappy to say in one of the world's older varsity matches Royal School of Mines (my alum) beat Camborne School of Mines today in the annual Bottle match 36-19. This rugby game played between the two UK mining schools conveys the rights to a three foot tall bottle made out of Cornish Tin that will now preside behind the RSM Union bar for the next year until its fate is decided once again. Interesting history including how a bunch of students "procured" said bottle at https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottle_match
@TheGalvanizerWhile it may be a male oriented forum we have many female users who are equals amongst us in our investment discussions and I think that's something to always remember on multiple topics I've seen here or at times words used. Just food for thought.
@HRA-CoffinAgreed @TheGalvanizer. We joke about them but the truth is the career path for someone in their early 20s is much tougher than it was for many earlier generations. Early boomers (I'm at the wrong end of that crowd) had a pretty smooth path upwards. Not anymore.
@bullionaire@theGalvanizer Based on assessed value..which hopefully close to a market value.. IN some states it can be excessive... Hawaii, an interesting place.. However, other taxes need to be considered as well,, Some states have no or low state tax on income.. some very low consumption taxes..
@TheGalvanizerI don't mind any tax paid to an agency or government that then uses said taxes wisely. I was against the translink referendum tax not because we don't need to invest mightily in transit infrastructure but translink were not the best trustees of said tax receipts
@TheGalvanizerI remember my editor at Mining Journal being cautious of Diamondfields because of RF and Summitville. I liked it. Covered it. And my first trip to Canada that I would later call home was a trip out to Voisey Bay 1.0 :)
