@anomalloyPicking up some more $CWC on a pullback, in advance of what should be a good quarterly report next week and with a new Buy recommendation from GRIFFMCB on Friday. 79% owned by insiders who have had the company buying back shares lately. Something going on? dyodd (Some of you NWE guys at #hotpick may want to check it out. Similar NWE #oil service co dynamics)

@anomalloyI always liked the #ninjapicks channel for the news releases, but also the stock info and insight provided by this channel's followers. They seem to be investors with an eye for value and a good potential upside. If its cool by you @courtninja, I'll just keep posting info here on value plays with a good near term upside. ?
@anomalloyAgreed, @1969Enigma, $SAN ready for a little pop-up, but i'm getting sceptical that we are going to hear the news we've been waiting for until the .16 cent pp closes. But I'm speculating the market is ready to run after this mornings pullback. IMHO, little bump up also indicated by thin asks, charts and increasing volume on $VIV, $PNN (more with overdue news), $AZX (with todays news) and even $SXL (no idea why). Holding all with fingers crossed. #ninjapicks
@anomalloyYep, I saw it. Don't get me wrong, I love the company, but we were led to believe we were going to see the takeover close 2 Fridays ago, then last Friday, and then they deflect with a pp @.16 cents. And now pp closing 'imminent'. I'm sitting and holding, but not holding my breath
@anomalloyThanks @courtninja. (Eating my words, because news from $SAN Just came out. It certainly popped though). If anyone is interested in oil services, watch $CWC. W. Canada's 2nd largest service company had lots of rigs sitting idle before oil hit $50. Good co. good mngmt, I'm anticipating this past quarter they should have gotten those rigs back to work and it will be reflected in the quarterly report next week. #oil
@anomalloy@Allan, you've got some intelligent insights, like "It would be nice if folks took their votes a little more seriously and voted for what is best for the people not just vote based on their party affiliation", and your stock info. Worth hearing, imho. But maybe the way to settle this dispute with @murat et al about moderation and index usage is to open your own channel and then we can all follow you there in any unmoderated, schoolhouse brawl manner that you choose.
@anomalloy$CSPG Insiders vote themselves a great deal. They can sell their shares and then use the proceeds to buy them back, with warrants. "Certain insiders of the Company have indicated their support for the Private Placement. Any such participation would be a related-party transaction under Multilateral Instrument 61-101 - Protection of Minority Security Holders in Special Transactions ("MI 61-101") but would be exempt from the formal valuation and minority shareholder approval requirements of MI 61-101 as neither the fair-market value of the subject matter of the transaction nor the consideration paid will exceed 25% of the Company's market capitalization. The Private Placement was approved by all of the independent directors of the Company.
As part of the Private Placement, an officer of the Corporation (the "Insider") may arrange for the sale of a number of Common Shares from the Insider's personal holdings at a price in context with the market through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSXV"). In the event of said sale, the Insider would use 100% of the proceeds from the sale to participate in the Private Placement."
@anomalloyOil and gas service companies are getting some attention around the release of their quarterly earnings. $CFW up 10% since yesterday after announcing a 24% revenue increase over last year, reversing a downward trend that indicators suggest should continue tomorrow. $WRG up 6% today BEFORE releasing financials after hours today, announcing a 146% increase in revenue! $CWC volume up 1.5x avg today in anticipation of their quarterly report next week. Western Energy Services Corp. First Quarter 2017 Financial and Operating Results @marketwired/western-energy-services-corp-releases-first-quarter#ninjapicks#hotpick
@anomalloyI've been looking in on $AVE@zadman. Charts don't look to promising for tomorrow, but I made a note to myself to watch it as it moves towards its quarterly report in the middle of May. Unfortunately, these service co's get pulled down by short term oil price decreases, when they shouldn't be affected because they mostly have contracts in place to keep them working through the fluctuations. #index#oil
@anomalloyThanks @1969Enigma ol' buddy ol' pal. So if I read it right, if $WLF got through the 0.14's, it could be gone. All we needs is for the general public to get the news that the insiders are buying on, i'm guessing.
@anomalloyfyi, Some info borrowed from Fruiscante1 at SH talking to Spios at $SAN regarding solar subsidies and threats to remove them, which may have put downward pressure on sp: from Spyros – we haven’t had the opportunity to assess the groups that are advocating for the removal of the funding for the Sunshot program (https://energy.gov/eere/sunshot/about-sunshot-initiative) or whether their opposition to the program will even gain any traction. It should be noted that a portion of the Sunshot budget is used to fund net metering programs that help homeowners sell power back to the utilities, but the program also funds technology development as well, an area that Solar Alliance does not have any exposure to. In general, the net metering program combined with a federal U.S. investment tax credit helps to make residential solar more attractive for homeowners; but to be clear, our company does not receive any funding from these programs. The primary driver for the solar industry continues to be the high cost of power in many states compared to solar and that gap will only widen in the coming years. These programs help homeowners, but we believe the underlying economics of solar are strong enough to survive the elimination of subsidies over the coming years.
Regarding this specific story, it’s too early to say what impact it might have as it needs to be introduced and then passed, so for now we are not too concerned about it although we will continue to watch it closely.
@Baz$SAN last breakout is a good new support, supported by real achievements from the company. 14,5c here I am, monday gonna be a good day with financial report :)
@anomalloy$SAN developped over 360 MW of solar powerplants (You need around 5 yards of solar pannels to create 1 MW) they sold to power producers, and installed around 2 000 residential solar systems in South California.
They operate in USA, Canada and Ireland. This company is still in a good position because solar power demand is increasing year after year in almost every coutry in the world, and anyway it's not from this sector $SAN is making the most of their profits.
If $SAN would be exclusively selling residential solar pannels, I wouldn't put a penny on this stock, but it's not the casem they mostly sell turnkey big projects to power companies. I still think this stock has huge potential even at 14,5c. They still can develop residential solar power in any other countries :) Let's see what happens monday!
@zadman@anomalloy historically this name has been very correlated to rig counts in the US. If those keep rising while $AVE sits sub 60 cents, I think there's a disconnect that investors can take advantage of.
@anomalloyThis should help the SP. $OPW has entered into an online marketing and advertising agreement with Agora Internet Relations Corp. ("AGORACOM") for a one year term ending April 30, 2018. The Company expects to receive significant advertising exposure over the next 12 months through many content brand insertions on the AGORACOM network and extensive search engine marketing
