Just finished a big-ass edit on my second book, a sequel to the first. I sent it off to my publisher and it's now up to him. Personally, I think it's a good book. It covers the middle years of a career where I established a 'preferred contractor' niche along some of the most pristine and isolated expanses of wilderness on the continent—no roads leading in (air or H2O access only). It's a sweeping tale featuring some truly insane bear encounters, epic storms, (heli) rotor strikes, biker gangs, mercenary crews... whirlwind romances, etc. If pressed, I'd have to say that the momentum of the adventure, narrated chronologically, is as intense as the first. We'll see. I suffer from imposter syndrome—I'm a lousy judge of my own work (it was difficult constantly transitioning from article and ghostwriter to author).
