Company's Newest Location the Result of Acquisition of NYC GC Americon Construction, Inc.

FALLS CHURCH, VA--(Marketwired - September 13, 2016) - The owners of HITT Contracting Inc. announced the opening of a New York office with the acquisition of Manhattan-based Americon Construction, a full-service commercial contractor with more than twenty-six years of experience in commercial interiors. Americon will operate as an affiliate of HITT, and do business as Americon HITT.

Headquartered just outside of Washington, DC, HITT is thrilled to expand their reach northward. "With many longtime clients operating out of New York, we've had our sights set on the city for some time," said President Brett Hitt. "We see this as a prime opportunity to continue building those connections and create new ones as well."

Fellow President Jim Millar echoed those sentiments. "For us, it really is about the relationships," said Millar. "We make it a priority to work where our clients work."

Speaking on behalf of fellow founding principals Eugenio Cannatà and Richard Cucci, Americon's Tom Prince shared his sentiments. "This partnership is a strong next step for both companies -- allowing the Americon team to reach new levels with the scope and capacity of our work, while providing HITT access to expand into the New York market."

A leader in the commercial construction industry, HITT's annual revenue exceeds $1 billion. The company maintains offices in Atlanta, Charleston, Denver, Houston, and South Florida, along with satellite locations in Baltimore, Dallas, Richmond, and Seattle. Ranked one of the 100 largest general contractors in the nation by Engineering News Record, HITT's work includes healthcare, hospitality, technology, government, institutional, law firms, interiors and base building projects.

HITT's recent notable projects include Boston Properties' The Signature at Reston Town Center, a 21-story dual tower mixed-use complex; Inova Fairfax Hospital's Critical Care Wing and North Tower Wing, a 306,000 square-foot gut and renovation of patient rooms and related support facilities; CyrusOne's first East Coast data center, a 420,000 square foot, 48 megawatt facility; as well as interior fit-outs for co-working leader WeWork.

Americon's portfolio crosses several of the same industries. Recent projects of note include several high-end corporate interior jobs including the JP Morgan Training Center, UBS Welcome Center, and the offices of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
