anonymous @engineer The standstill agreement was between $CDB and #HPX and it was for 3 years starting May 2015. $KZD has nothing to do with it.

anonymous 65% direct equity in the project plus another 36% * 35% =~ 10% from stake at CDB takes effective stake in the project to well above 75%, ...more than their stake in KZD

anonymous Given that the expanded drilling wouldnt have started until Feb 8-15 we are right on track. I dont think we should have expected to see anything quite yet. Painful but i think we are on an okay timeline for goodnews still...i dont think anything is being held back at this point

anonymous $CDB The results will be published in the coming weeks once available. A total of 10,000 metres of drilling are planned in the same sector (4,440 g/t Gold, 10.25% Copper, 24.7% Zinc and 347 g/t Silver over 0.9 Meters) in the coming month. $GOLD

@engineer For those who are anxious about the drill results and selling since there is no news: I have thought about other companies as well and although I'm itching for results as well, am sitting tight. Drilling takes time. Based on what I got from IR last week, I fully expect further drill results to be available by end of 1st week of May at the latest. Most recently Wesdome gold mines as an example. On 8-24-2016, WDO reported "223.12 g/t gold over 14.25 m uncut" - which caused the share price to spike +75% over a few days. Mgmt stated they would drill it as a priority but the next drill results didn't come until almost 3 months later on 11-15-2016. The grades were still good but not over as good a strike length as some had hoped, but mgmt stated they would continue priority drilling. The share price suffered. Then 2-8-2017, another set of very nice strikes like "110.23 g/t over 4.1 m) - and price is off to the races again. I fully believe based on what was stated of CDB system that there should be more gold at high grades, just a matter of time to find it and have SP reflect the discovery. In my mind, the results / timelines and reactions may be similar to how WDO behaved. Of course, they do still need the good drill holes to back up any kind of move (up, or down if disappointing) Again - now's a great time to load up if you believe in the story and think there's more bonanza grade gold on the property. Of course theres no guarantee, but I have a big position in this co at this moment. GLTA.

@engineer @green I wanted to buy more $CDB. I temporarily sold part of my $IVN position to trade in for a few days - I got 10% in a few hours and took my profits, re-bought IVN and got free CDB shares. I like MOZ but I like my other positions more.

@Wannabeinvestor e-mailed the company just now to inquire about timing of any announcements re the expanded drill program. They announced it on Feb 1, I would expect results this shortly. Also asked whether the additional rigs have been mobilised by now (as per Feb 1 NR).

@Dunite @earango, I will answer this.....By 147K/ton he means 147,000 dollars worth of metals in on ton of rock, which is off the chart high grade ore....

@engineer Also... Feb 1 - taking longer also due to deeper holes "pleased to announce that Major Drilling International Inc. (“Major Drilling”) has been engaged to expand Cordoba’s exploration program providing a more powerful drill rig that will allow for the drill testing of deeper targets at the San Matias Copper-Gold Project in Colombia."

@earango @Dunite thank you for the color, do you know the basis for that calculation?

click to invite
@Dunite @earango, it is based on the grams of gold per ton of rock. The percentages of Copper and Zinc per ton of rock. For example, two percent copper would be 20,000 ppm copper in that ton of rock. One ppm is almost equal to a gram. So divide 32 grams-(which is equal to one ounce) into 20000. That gives 625 ounces of copper in that rock. So then Divide 625 by 16 ounces to get pounds. That give 39 pounds of copper in a 2 percent ton of rock.... Multiply 39 by the spot market price of copper for that day and bingo, you have the worth of copper in that ton of rock. Do the same for Zinc. Gold divide grams by 32 to get ounces and multiply by the spot market for gold on that day. Have fun figuring the value of metals in a ton of rock.....

@DJS Thanks @Dunite. Great summary of the calculations required. @earango, the lazy person's way is to use KITCO's online "What's that rock worth?" calculator: http://www.kitco.com/pop_windows/kitcorockcalc.html?sitetype=fullsite

@Dunite @earango, Geologist and Professional prospectors speak in the strange language of Geological terms and phrases. Unless you are trained in these terms and phrases, it can be confusing trying to figure out what the heck they are talking about. So I am happy to help you. Good luck with your investing.

@HHorseman @Jayfire $CDB has given back most of it's drill hit gains, which made me buy a small amount today. $DV is looking really cheap, but I have such a large position already that I can't really justify buying more. $TGZ seems cheap. I think that some pure silver exploration plays are expensive relative to silver explorer/developers. At the same time some pure gold exploration plays seem pretty cheap. I would like to pick up more $F but I would like it to drop a bit more first. $SSP is starting to get pretty cheap again... Actually I think there is a lot of disclocation in the precious metal sector right now. Most producers seem to price in a higher gold price, silver exploration plays seem to price in a decent silver price, silver explorers/developers seem to be pricing in a low silver price, some gold explorers/developers seem to be pricing in a low gold price. #Gold #Silver #mbgtrends Sum up: I am not eyeing mid/large cap producers (except $KL and $TGZ). I am eyeing gold explorers/developers that has taken big hits already (diverged from GDX/GDXJ), like $SSP, the chronically cheap $ORG even though they have held up pretty good compared to others in the last couple of weeks. I am not eyeing many pure exploration plays in silver ATM but I am eyeing silver explorers/developers with silver in the bank. I think they have too low of a premium compared to the pure hope plays. With an escalation in trade wars and tariffs (most recently the US tariff on Canadian lumber) I try to diversify geographically as much as I can.
