@nobody @terra. O.K, fixed the link, try again. Pason seems to start partnership with Exxon, sounds like IoT concept, with Eguana energy storage solution, applications might be numerous, especially on remote drilling sites (floating platforms, etc)

@Freedom50 Terra when I spoke to Martin at Eguana he said it would take tesla 18 to 24 months for tesla to build a inverter. Now maybe it won't be as good but tesla is tesla. $20 ipo now look. $270. And own solar city.inverter is huge for them

@AlGreene Tesla did not go from $20 to $270 in 2 weeks, if I recall correctly. :)

anonymous Tesla should just buy Eguana, way easier. Gets them the tech and boxes out the competing German auto company.

@AlGreene Tesla is too cash-strapped for any major purchases at the moment, IMO. But a buyout by other major players is a real possibility.

@rgrowden Well, insiders own 40%, so any buyout will be decided by them, not us. So the question becomes, would they want one? They have a business plan, which is their blueprint for building EGT into a powerhouse in the industry. Would they want to sell out now, before they've even taken off? Why? Why would they take chump change after all this? Seventeen years without a profit; now they're ''on the cusp'' of breaking out. They aren't going to sell. I certainly wouldn't. No, develop the business plan, work like maniacs for a few years, then take a look at where you are. Another thing, related: To you people whining about how they treat the shareholders. They ARE the shareholders - THEY own the company. Not you, with your sub-million shares. And brother, am I glad.

@Freedom50 Growden you have a lot of good things to say, but it's not you who speaks for the shareholders. everyone here deserves to know what's going on and have outlook. I'm glad your so happy that the way EGT is being run yet you know nothing more than the rest of us. You seem to think you have some inside track to EGT but you don't.

@LGisntIT I'm trying to understand that SH post. It seems that the the transactive grid is the power/energy version of the bitcoin. The way the decentralized blockchain holds up the bitcoin network is the way this transactive grid is going to oversee every transaction on the energy grid. The Wartena that the SH post refers to is Ryan Wartena of GELI: https://www.linkedin.com/in/wartena.

@LGisntIT @rgrowden - one last thought. The SH poster is implying that Eguana is the inverter that can do his 'iota' (internet of all things machine to machine) thing which requires the inverter's to talk to each other about power load on the grid...but it's clear from Eguana that their current inverters require something centralized to tell it when and how much to feed into the grid. I would hope, since Eguana is still putting a heck of a lot into R&D, that they're developing inverters that can talk to each other to power/balance load/ the grid (ie: make the grid more efficient). If they can do that...then Eguana, in my opinion becomes a large portion of the grid essentially. But that's a huge step.

@rgrowden Next generation smart inverter. Eguana must have an edge there, which is why big guns are flocking around.

@LGisntIT I think the SH poster is talking one generation beyond Smart devices as I think Egauan's already a smart inverter (being able to talk to the centralized location using internet). All Smart devices still require something centralized. analogy: our smart phones require cell towers to centralize all of our signals, and redistribute from there. What the SH poster is talking about is removing the centralization altogether. eg: all of our smart phones becomes simultaneous cell towers as well, and we can use each other as nodes to do the cell phone distribution. What the SH poster is hoping is that $EGT's inverters themselves can talk to each other to optimize the grid, without the need for that central location.
