@Sarb These figures are fairly vague and there’s still plenty of work to be done to confirm that the resources below the surface can actually be extracted profitably. Still, it’s very clear Falcon is sitting on a huge resource base and the market is marking the shares higher as a result. That being said, it could be years before Falcon begins production or generates sales. Oil & gas exploration is a notoriously unpredictable, time consuming and expensive business and while Falcon may look well positioned to extract profit from its massive discovery today, over the next few years the company may struggle to turn its dreams into reality.

@Sarb Looks like we will get more than one chance to buy back much cheaper than today's price.

@jamjam You are calling 85tcf only sound energy looking for 9tcf they are trading 1 gbp with 700mil share 8f tcf is huge number

@Sarb Yes, The potential seems to be huge here, only risk is the fracking permit. If FO can get this or even an indication, this goes over the moon, then the institutions will start to load up. Until then we have chance to buy somewhat cheaper.

@jamjam Just to do some comparison... sound energy has 1.4 tcf so far they are targeting 9tcf gas in morocco market cap today 628 million gbp (672 million share trading at .93 gbp) and with 16% recovery $FO has close to 25 TCF market cap 142.84m gbp (921 m share at .15 gbap) so sound has 4 times market cap 1/3 resource... according to Malcolm Graham Wood price will jump 10 times if they have no moratorium https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvLqf2L-hMI+ $hotpick https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wq-8FktfzhY+ ceo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kTLDTIHmhw+ davy

@jamjam from lse board ... However, I think we have moved into a whole new ball game that may just see these gains hold and even some slight rise over the next few months as we wait for the interim report. The almost 70 million shares traded over the last three days, along with the stellar numbers posted by Origin, has created a buzz that is now being heard around the world and will have investment banks and big brokerages now looking to take longer term positions in what is looking more and more like the biggest gas field in Australia. With gas pricing moving steadily upwards in Australia and the numbers yet to come from the A and C shales, along with the Kyala formation above the mid-velkerri, - Falcon is now a very significant way for bigger investment banks to play for a five or ten bagger from these levels and these brokerage houses can throw $$millions at an investment like Falcon and not the $$1000's we see currently. I think that instead of falling backwards the share price will see new buyers stepping in whenever there is a little weakness which should keep the momentum moving higher and not lower. The news out of the Beetaloo has created a whole new dynamic for Falcon that most of us never thought would happen this quickly, but the when the news really gets digested next week by the bigger investors that Falcon has 30% of what is now looking like one of the largest gas fields ever, once the A and C shales are added in to the mix, the direction for Falcon could easily be still on an upwards trajectory for a while yet

Jr @jamjam @Sarb guys I find it a little strange that knowledgeable people on this thread are mainly discussing the "current discovery" that's old news already (however it's not priced in at all as @jamjam figures on sound show) the real news is a world class discovery on a 16000sq kilometre land package. Now this forum isn't pitched for gamblers however we are speculators. Ask yourself would like to drill for gas in an area that already has a world class find or would you like to stay in the haystack looking for the needle?? As a speculator most will agree that this land package has an excellent chance of offering up more discoveries (price in what u believe a district play is worth here and give 30%of that to falcon and remember it not if it's when the fracking ban gets lifted)

@jr @Sarb hi Sarb please also look back over old interviews and falcon management releases the company plan is to prove up a full resource (yes this will take time) however waiting around to full production isn't the plan, prove a full resource and let an auction begin for falcons 30% and it will be an auction with lots of bidders, Philip o quigley is more then capable of being our robert friedland and squeeze every last penny out of worth out of falcon shareholding, look at the deals he's done already, the hess deal they dropped 80mill at least into this project at no cost to falcon, Philip then gets origin and sasol to pay 20mill to take over the JV and cover all exploration costs, management here is competent is tick that box also

@jr @jamjam fair question, my opinion is market for falcon got rattled when hess pulled out of joint venture with falcon, most of the retail investors asked well why would hess walk away from beetaloo if it was this world class prospect, Falcon also had the baggage of a failed prospect in Hungary, you also had roughly 10% of the share float involved in a bankruptcy of its owner (market unsure of would the shares be dumped by reciver ,also the former opposition party in NT now government party had campaigned that they would ban fracking during election campaigning, so there was alot of negatives overhead falcon, hope this helps, I was and am a shareholder of falcon his 2015 I have never sold a share and have no intention of doing so until falcon gets bought out,

@Sarb @jamjam - I will put $FO in my watchlist. This is a new government and one of their poll promise was to ban fracking, i do notthink they will bow down to any pressure given they are in their first year in office. falcon also said that they will freeze all drillig related activities until they see a direction. Huge risk if you buy at these prices and government puts permanent ban on fracking. But if Falcon can move out and start their explaratio. Outside of Australia, then time to loadup. Until then its a very long shot. This is the same reason the stock went to 30 and closed back at 22 cents. This fracking ban news is all over now. I expect more softness in the coming days. Institutions only buy when they see clear direction which is a year from now. Until then it will be all retail.

@jr @Sarb @jamjam drilling success across the sector is far below 50/50 I honestly don't have an accurate figure but I would 5/100 or less, so having a successful discovery increases chances around the next exploration targets on the land package, I also agree the interest in the south African land package that falcon have will also increase,in relation to NT it only has 250k people most have never been to beetaloo project region, unemployment is on the uptick in the state, the federal australian government are behind the discovery, no state political is getting reelected to power leaving billions of revenue down a hole in the middle of nowhere, thank the government burecrats for delaying the real lift off of falcon, it not if but when

@jamjam Australia has to develop more gas and the Gunner Government is depriving Territorians of a rich resource and the prosperity which comes from it, the Prime Minister said yesterdayhttp://www.geelongadvertiser.com.au/news/national/prime-minister-malcom-turnbull-wants-northern-territory-to-develop-onshore-gas/news-story/9aa0a22cc4b246687ef1e98e3ee50f90

@Sarb I gone through the radio program. It was good and informative. That is the reality. Lets see what happens during a year long review with the locals. I am hearing this was the biggest poll issue and the locals voted based on this ? The chances of lifting the ban are low so far ( based on the comments on that program )

@stateside @Allan - got it. I would have though $FO was everhung trading at $.08 and 927 million shares out but they moved to $.40 from $.08 in 30 days time so maybe 1 billion shares is the everhung cut-off.
