@PamplonaTrader Bought some at $0.50-$0.52 today. Who wants to feed me more shs?

@Pete Pamps I can't do it, place an order and wait. If you want it, and see the value, those pennies are not worth the hassle. If you are gunning for a double or more, just get it. #noadvice

@0Kib I got hit at 0.50 at open today. GTCs work better than just waiting on bid/ask

@londonkiwi Yes got some more at 0.50 myself. Hoping for more but doesn't look like it.

@Pete Don't know if we can contribute this correction to the flooding, but for an exploration play, it's basically a non-event. Some correction was inevitable without more news

@engineer Weather... SH post by benduck "Here is a response from IR earlier this week when I inquired about the rains relative to TK: "This has been a very wet rainy season and there is some impact on the drilling. The drillers work in the rain unless there is lightning, but productivity is lower than drilling during the dry season. The rains also require more work to maintain roads on the property and make some areas inaccessible, due to soggy ground conditions or where the terrain is steeper. This is the reason that we are waiting to drill Zone 3 until the rains die down, which typically happens in April. The heavy rains in Peru this year have also caused road washouts, which can add delays to getting assay results. We cut the core offsite and then send samples to the assay lab in Lima. So, the rains definitely have some impact, but I would call it relatively minor compared to more extreme weather impacts at other mining projects. Plus, the rainy season should be over soon and then we will be drilling as fast as we can with at least three rigs."

@internalaudit Anyone know about the progress on the Colquipucro Silver Deposits? Seems the focus is this Ayawilca and it probably makes sense because zinc is going to be more profitable with gold/silver trading sideways for the time being. I hope $TK isn't stuck with a mindset of an exploration company and plans to become a junior miner/producer some day. Isn't that what the IFC was for, for development projects?

@Pete @internalaudit i see you are looking for a lot of answers. For general learning I can advise you to follow @miningbookguy and his channel #mbgtrends and #newbies

@internalaudit I am following him already. I don't need the newbies thread because I just placed a bet on $TK and my questions are company specific. Thanks for your suggestion though.

@internalaudit Thanks Pete. I will do as you suggested. Better than spending time reading SJL or other companies with unethical BOD/management. Always wondered what mbg stood for, now I know it's for miningbookguy, lol.

@internalaudit Looks like zinc is also used for ultracapacitors for hybrid electric vehicles: http://wardsauto.com/technology/stop-start-problems-could-put-charge-ultracapacitor-market ; also from U Waterloo is zinc ion battery, : http://kitchener.ctvnews.ca/uw-chemists-say-zinc-based-battery-could-be-a-game-changer-1.3051161 ; next gen battery to use zinc or aluminum: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/next-generation-batteries-ramp-up-capacity/ You guys are on to something... :)

@internalaudit Applied for a HELOC and going to load up the boat with every retracement http://www.ifc.org/wps/wcm/connect/Industry_Ext_Content/ifc_external_corporate_site/OGM+Home Industries that can harness natural resources are vital for many of the world's poorest countries. They are a key source of jobs, energy, government revenues, and a wide array of other benefits for local economies. In Africa, in particular, large-scale sustainable investments in these industries can create equally large-scale gains in economic development. IFC’s goal in oil, gas, and mining is to help developing countries realize these benefits, while helping promote sustainable energy sources. We provide financing and advice for private sector clients, and help governments adopt effective regulations and strengthen their capacity to manage these industries across the value chain. We also work with companies to ensure that local communities enjoy concrete benefits from projects, focusing on transparency, supply chains, jobs, and community engagement.

@internalaudit ^ Looks like $TK will really take this to the mining development stage with the IFC and Sentient Group's backing.

@internalaudit Zinc demand is going to grow when it's one of the cheapest component of batteries and has the right properties for use in super/ultracapacitors, zinc-air batteries, and other batteries stabler and safer than lithium ion. https://www.metalary.com/zinc-price/ Zinc $2,664.81 per metric ton ; lithium $9,100.00; cobalt $37,347.38

@PamplonaTrader In my view, $TK's Ayawilca, $KAR's Aripuana and $SLR's Bongara are three of the best emerging #zinc deposits in South America and Milpo already controls 70% of Aripuana and Bongara. Milpo, Volcan and others could all make a play for $TK.

@PamplonaTrader @internalaudit I think it's pretty obvious that $TK is (by far) my favorite #zinc play. Ticks all the boxes - blue sky exploration potential, cashed up, location, etc etc. I feel $KAR is sitting on the best deposit as currently defined but they are broke and do not control Aripuana. Bongara is least advanced and in a challenging location, though $SLR / $XPL is cheap given their EV and other assets. #zinc

@internalaudit I think zinc could go beyond its historical high of 4,300/MT once electric vehicles ramp up and battery technologies improve and power remote communities around the world. Surprised not a lot of people are talking about the potential here. Glencore sure knows how to play the market by closing off some of its tap to make zinc price creep up. Read copper and other base metals are not as easily controlled because the market is bigger. Why Glencore wouldn't want to make more money on zinc sure beats me when a lot of Chinese mines are tapped out. :) http://www.tradingeconomics.com/commodity/zinc

@PamplonaTrader Of the three, $KAR's Aripuana probably gets taken out first (next 12-18 months) but I think $TK will generate better returns.

@TheGalvanizer Still think the battery tech side of things is a ways away - but an interesting future market just like increased agriculture use - anything that adds areas of demand outside of the 50% use in galvanization is a good thing

@poolman @PamplonaTrader And lets not forget the targets at zone 3 yet to be drilled, the zinc in soil anomalies map looks quite promising so say the least as you have previously pointed out

@internalaudit I know we are not privy to what happens behind closed doors but I doubt the IFC would have bought 14% of $TK if no development of the mines were planned. How many people are needed for drilling and in terms of prosperity, wouldn't a producing mine actually improve the local economy significantly? I don't know that the motives of the Sentient Group and JP Morgan Asset Management are but I would think they bought cheap at 10-20 cents and want more than a double or triple from this price level. As long as the stars are aligned for $TK, why be in a hurry to sell their holdings? With Sentient, the arrangement seems anti-dilutive too with them buying more shares when IFC or whoever invests in the company.

@L.A. @internalaudit Remember JP Morgan and Sentient participated in the private placement before the recent discovery. If this drill program continues to be succesful, they will be looking far more than a triple.

@Onlyflaws Thanks for the pres @joegreatwhitenorth. I really like the slides 14-17 where they clearly Show the potential zones for copper and zinc. Chaucha area looks massive, also the zone 3 looks big. Do they have possibility to get permits to drill NE of the zone 3 if they hit there? One more thing, how does the tin mineral resource compare to others, I dont know whats a decent size or grade for tin. TIA

@internalaudit From @miningbookguy 's post on the Glencore/Tevali deal, sounds like an operating mine is at least worth $200 m, maybe more for blue sky mining? So complete the permits, add extractors, smelters, crushers, millers and one can call it a day and sell for $200 m or more? http://www.northernminer.com/news/trevali-ceo-discusses-glencore-deal-zinc-markets/1003784876/
