@MiningBookGuynow $VIT still seems 'smallish' to me...but could be a great example of being balanced, clearly larger than $KAM, but much more manageable than $WRN. Would people agree with that assessment?
@MiningBookGuy$WRN has the big copper component. I know gold a lot better. so not true apples to apples. $VIT and $KAM easier to compare than $WRN. but on the capex side, isn't that the really big hurdle? who is open to multi-billion capex projects right now?
@MiningBookGuy@BruceWayne - the $WRN numbers are better than i expected. some of these other monster deposits just don't work at all right now, so maybe $WRN is right near the top as an #optionality play. It probably would be smart for one of these majors to tuck it away.
Yes, i would love to be a fly on the wall for $G M&A discussions. i'm sure at some point they were like "we need to get in the Yukon, so what's our best bet?" and $KAM$VIT$WRN all came up. obviously they took $KAM, and we now know there was a bidding war for it. i do wonder if they and others are serious about a bigger one like $WRN.
But I expect $VIT (along with other people) to get picked up next. I should have bought sooner...just don't feel like it now after the Byron King pump.
@JamesKwantesMarket says Casino not going to get taken out anytime soon -- despite the massive gold/copper endowment, $WRN trading at less than half of Wellgreen's market cap. A lot of that is undoubtedly permitting concerns. We visited the Wellgreen project too, not a fan of that one, so the relative market caps - WRN, WG - was kind of a surprise
@Xriva@Excelsior Thank you. I own some IVN and will consider PTM. Also looking to add more $WRN on dips. May also take a position in $WG as I've been looking for non-African investments in those commodities.
@JamesKwantesNice moves by some of the #Yukon plays today, $SMD$WRN$AXR all up more than 10%. Resource Opportunities subscribers got a Yukon special report in their inboxes this morning that touched on these and other Yukon juniors. Should be an interesting year up there with $G acquisition of $KAM and more recently $AEM investment in Shawn Ryan's new White Gold exploreco #gold
@VaughanQuestion about Western Copper $WRN and if Exploration insights like it: Joe says the low grade nature of the deposit held by $WRN makes it such that prices will need to be much higher before it has true takeout potential. Brent: Marginal assets are not what majors want, they have enough of those already. #EImarketcallPDAC
