@JamesKwantesNice to see Fiore pick up more ground in Chile near its existing Pampas el Penon project. Have to spend $2.25M over 5 years, pay SQM $1.26M over 5 yrs and issue 500,000 shares. Also, sliding scale royalty. @rackerCanaccordGenuity says buy the dip in #gold, with no fundamental reason for gold to fall below the next support level ($1200/oz). Key points: still bullish on India demand on uncertainty there. @newstrackerHey Guys, I thought I would formally introduce myself as I will be working with @Tommy full time in the future. My name is Nicholas LePan and I have been working with Stockwatch for the past 8 years as the sales/marketing guy, and sometimes news release editor. I have known Tommy for years now and am looking forward to delivering the significant news on business and the venture each day. If there are any ideas or topics you would like to me to share, feel free to ask me. Currently, I am in Colombia for the Gold Symposium and will be visiting Cordoba's $CDB San Matias project and hopefully (working on the details) to visit Red Eagles's $R San Ramon Gold Project. So keep an eye out for the updates during the week. All the best. Nick #ColombiaGold2016
@rackerNot a lot of comment on the currency conversion situation in #India... All #gold purchases by illegitimate buyers are suspended. I think much of Indian buying has been cut off. Gold is a big store of value and part of the black market in India. The timing coincides with Trump's election so effects are masked.
Why India wiped out 86% of its cash overnight http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-37974423
India’s currency changes caused a gold rush last week. This week, nobody is buying. http://wpo.st/XGDE2
@rackerDundee's Martin #Mureenbeld thinks the next few months could be trouble for #gold, due to damaged Post-Trump technicals, a surging US dollar, higher interest rates, and a strong equity market.
Medium term Mureenbeld remains a precious metals bull, stating the US Treasury will have no choice but to devalue the dollar to cope with rising debt and international competitiveness. “We remain very bullish,” Mureenbeld wrote in the latest issue of Gold Monitor. “-these are early days yet.”
Mr. Murenbeeld and the Dundee Economics team are leaving Dundee Corp at the end of Nov 2016 “by mutual agreement” according to the newsletter. The team will continue to publish Gold Monitor and Economic Monitor under the new brand of Murenbeeld & Co, starting in 2017.

@MartinTurennestock trading last week and today showing just how gold-obsessed CDN mining investors are. base metals on a historic tear and no one cares. i'm not whining about it, just pointing it out. must gold run first before investors starting piling back in to the sector? seems definitely yes.
@dirkdiggler@bullionaire. Many of us are here looking for the next monster. Even the serial bashers here are looking for clues that might lead to the next FDN, or VB (see $NRN), or Eskay Cr (see the plethora of jr's poking holes in the Gldn Tri), etc, etc. Some of us will go down (hard) in our search for this anomaly of geology. And here my momma never thought she raised such a foolish child.
@robmcleodThe core photos from $DBV do look intriguing. Dark green chlorite(?) and magnetite with massive cpy veins actually look like the classic hydrothermal feeder zone to a VMS system. Most BC-type alkalic porphyries can have bizarre alteration and metal zonation so you can't read too much into alteration visuals. Encouraging IMHO
anonymousChris Mayer's Hallmarks of Hundred Baggers, by @racker@racker/seven-things-you-should-know-about-finding-100x-investments-on-the-stock-market
1. Start with small companies. The median sales figure in his study was $170 million.
2. Hold for a long time (the average 100 bagger takes over 16 years to happen), which is really hard. Being quoted a price every day by the stock market, and all the crazy stuff that goes on in the world, makes it very hard to hold on. If you just followed the business it would be easier.
3. Lower multiples preferred. Earnings and multiple grew over time. But, pay up for growth if you’re right.
4. High returns on capital are really important. It has to have a great underlying business.
5. Owner operated businesses are preferred.
6. Reinvestment is the most critical ingredient in success, once you have identified an outstanding business.
7. It can be a roller coaster ride and plane boring to own these companies for the long term.

@statesideA post to clear up misconceptions - One of my day jobs is as a General Manager of a syndication of cartoonists and editorial cartoonists. On the editorial side we have under contract about 10 that lean hard democrat/liberal, 10 that lean hard republican/conservative and 5 that are moderate. I know all of them and can appreciate the humor from all sides. We offer them up to any newspaper/website that wants to include it in their publication. I also have political writers under my wing - one being Donna Brazile (current DNC chair). I consider her a friend and we have spoken on many occasions about political issues - some we agree on others we don't. I read several websites almost daily including Mother Jones, The Nation, The Intercept, Drudge Report and Zero Hedge so I can understand the views from all sides. I'm a white male with white kids. One of my daughters dates a legal Hispanic immigrant. One of my other daughters best friend is a lesbian. My third daughter dated an African-American. There is not a racist bone in my body but say anything that implies a support of Trump and you are labeled a racist. One of my daughters biggest issues in this election was the right to life. Trump says he is pro-life. Hillary is pro-choice and believes you can kill a baby in the womb a day before he or she is born. My daughter (who had dated an African American) is now a racist according to many of her facebook friends and I'm sure many here who post frequently on the index because she voted for the issue that was important to her. I voted for Trump because I oppose elitists and established political figures who are driven solely by power and use corruption and deceit to gain that power. It was an easy choice for me. I voted for Obama in 2008 and wrote in a candidate in 2012. I'm for the little guy. My website's name comes from an individual who was a slave over 2,000 years ago who wouldn't succumb to those powerful in government. I will continue to fight against the establishment. Just a suggestion - if you're a Hillary supporter step out from you're small group of friends who have similar beliefs and talk to the other side - listen, don't judge. The same goes for Trump supporters. It will serve you well. Read websites you don't agree with - follow people on twitter you don't agree with. Take the blinders off - it's not that scary out there. It really isn't...
@BenjaminCoxStage on of a mania, everything will work, stage 2 the limited companies that work get work done, stage 3 the weak companies start to die, stage 4 1-2 companies are left. #Lithium is going to go through such a winnowing process. The winners have to be in production quickly, with low costs, because its a salt and once there is a stable larger market the bigger players in salt/fertilizer can come in on a Lithium/salt play and take market share. This also applies to #marijuana. Think about the stage of the mania.
