@Vaughan @Murat re laurentf idea, maybe we could make it such that you can click on the %change part of the ticker and have it change to dollar gain/loss. Click on that and back to %gain. ?

@EvenPrime Is there a way I could get rid of Notifcations on the right column. I find it extremely redundant as whatever it shows already is in the column. Does anyone actually use it? I just find I have a lot now and that clutters it. Same as "Recent" -be nice to have the option

@Benedict https://ceo.ca/nxe?e78b397340d4 Do you not moderate clear misrepresentations by ANONs? or was there really booths at the MIF (besides the fact it was a Newsletter writers presentation series?)

@Benedict Over the last year I have counted the losses of GOOD contributors to your forums...pretty clear why..

@tommy @Benedict "clear misrepresentation"? How so? Every public company presenting at MIF gets a booth (they pay to be there, and interact with the newsletter subscribers during coffee and lunch breaks). Regarding losses to good contributors, I strongly disagree. They are still here, often ANONs, as you say. The miners are busier- it's a better market. Maybe they're selling? The site is still growing fast, bootstrapped, and we are very determined to keep improving. We welcome your feedback, especially specific ideas about making the community and product better.

@tsetka I've been using CEO.ca for a while and struggle with using the site effectively. Is there a tutorial available to help us better navigate the site? Great site by the way.

@tommy @tsetka We don't have tutorial really. Our excuse is tutorials become out of date quickly and good products should be self explanatory- obviously we have some work to do! Is there anything u need help with specifically?

@tsetka @tommy - I struggle with the amount of content and where to go to get content. I really don't know what each area (tab, etc.) does as there isn't any summary (i.e. What's newbies????, I'm assuming it's for individuals new to the site???)

@tsetka @tommy - additionally, I struggle with the home page and how to set it up? Categories & channels, etc. I've attempted to set things up for my purposes and can't seem to figure it out????

@tsetka @tommy - I guess a specific question would be easier. Specifically, How do I change "Uncategorized" on the home page to another name?

@tommy #feedback @murat 1 little bug. When u subscribe to a channel top right it defaults to uncategorized which you can't really categorize without deleting from home pg

@tommy @tsetka let me try

@tommy CEO.ca is like a radio with unlimited channels. You want to tune in to the channels that are relevant to you. Channels can be about topics such as #uranium or people like @jameskwantes or stocks like Fairfax Financial Holdings $FFH. Notice when I mention a channel, a copy of my message is duplicated in those channels. The fairfax channel is accessible at www.ceo.ca/FFH and uranium at www.ceo.ca/uranium and so forth. You can create any channel you want, or follow existing ones. #newbies

@tsetka @tommy @murat - As well, What is a "Channel"? What is a "Category"? Thanks.

@tommy Categories are groups of channels. Homepage -> watchlist -> edit allows you to group the channels you are following by category.

@tommy for instance I have a uranium category that groups uranium channels together

@tsetka Okay. So a Channel can be a stock $, or an individual @, or a # (don't know what this one is???). Is that correct?

@tommy # and $ have same function

@tommy #FFH takes u to $FFH and $uranium takes u to #uranium

@tommy but in general, $stocks, @people, and #topics

@tsetka And a Category is a bunch of like Channels?

@tommy Some of our most popular channels are shown on the home pg

@tommy yes. A category is just the label for a group of channels you're following. For heavy users following a lot of channels to organize

@tsetka So, How do I add a Channel to the home page. say all stocks I Own called "Owners" is that possible?
0
click to invite
@tommy I like to categorize stocks I'm following by commodity and by promoter. Generalists could categorize by sector or whatever they want

@tommy home -> watchlist -> edit -> add a category -> label it "owners" then start inputting symbols -> add a Chanel -> then save.
0
click to invite
@tsetka And symbols are "Channels", Correct?
0

@tommy We will soup up the home page watchlist soon but for now it's alphabetical. If you have a category with a first letter coming before O for Owners in the alphabet, it will push down Owners. If that's your priority list, maybe call it A-List so it is at the top. @Murat will get to drag and drop and enhanced watchlist asap.

@tommy Symbols/stock pages are channels we added market data to. We also have news releases tagging company channels, and sedi insider trade filings. This info plus community chats provides a quick recent history of a company. I would encourage everyone to be skeptical of and independent verify information here. Those talking about stocks, and those that know certain stocks the best, often have a known or unknown agenda.

@tommy Not all of our company channels are popular yet. We are starting to rank better in search results and growing faster than our competitors but there is a 20 year head start by some of them. Speculative stocks and junior miners are most popular here but I want and expect other sectors to grow in popularity over time.

@tsetka Okay Awesome Thanks for your help. One last Question before I head off. I would like to update my profile as I'm a believer of being honest when I use boards as "pumpers & dumpers" drive my crazy. I use my real name (or a name that allows me to be identified easily like a newsletter title or website, etc..) as I try to be honest and upfront with my posting. I've noticed when I go into others profiles it usually just says "Private Message" and nothing else. The info you request in the profile isn't there. Do you request this info just for your records and not publish?

@tommy @tsetka I think it just means the user has not completed their profile. We don't annoy them to complete it. Click on my username and you should see my pic and a little bio. If you're on mobile, you'll have to click "profile" because chats, not profile, are shown by default on mobile

@tsetka Replace "I Try" with "I am". That's better...

@tommy You can click on your chat for 15 mins after you hit enter and make necessary edits. Click on the pen icon

@tsetka one more question. Does anyone else have access to your home page (i.e. can it be viewed by others)?

@tommy Your watchlist is private @tsetka Soon u will have the option to share or rent your watchlist or certain parts of it but that will be optional. The default setting is and will continue to be private.

@EvenPrime Hey @Murat, @Tommy, @chris, could you guys possible do me a HUGE favor? For one of our contests we kinda mixed up two separate channels. A couple people recorded their stock picks on this channel; [[[ #safestockpickingcontest ]]] When really they should have posted in this; [[[ #safeststockpickingcontest ]]] Im sure you can see where the confusion occurred hehe. Are you able to merge these together and/or remove the top one? That way all the names are on the same channel. This way, when we declare winners next year and go back for confirmation, we won't have trouble sorting it out? This would be much appreciated! cheers;

@EvenPrime @anonymous Well I chose Safest as more people wrote on that one, but really I suppose it dosnt really matter. If we had a new name that was better Id be up for that - both of them get confused with StockPickingContest as well lol - good call though
