@EvenPrimeI'd like to introduce an idea!
We are almost half way through the year, and the Sell in May
and Go Away thoughts may be present in the mind. If you are in the Stock Picking Contests,
Id like you to write about how your picks have performed. Why you made the decisions you did,
and what worked/didnt work out.
*Make sure you use the $ to identify the ticker
I think we could all learn from reading about everyone else's experience.
I'll go first:
Sitting 8th Place in #StockPickingContest (out of 146 people) woot woot
$TK up 180% (Will > 200% next week I wager)
$NRN up 18% (The guys in the channel will kill me for saying this, but ... blah! Im bored )
$VTT up 45% (The ship left port last week, can still see it from shore though, but not for long)
Sitting 5th Place in the #SafestStockPickingContest (out of 28 people)
$NXE up 37% (Sold all my shares last week to make room for an IPO and bought more $TK - I'll be back asap)
$SBB up 87% (I have a lot in this but I think I will sell half soon. I stress because its a binary play, although I do believe it will succeed)
$IDM up 3.5% (A lot of warrant expiring over last week if I recall. Should grow legs soon but I watch from the bench)
Sitting in 40th Place in the #BonusPickShowDown (out of 58 people) *Homer face palm - dough
$WHN down 10% (Damn it - absolutely nothing going on!)
* I chose $NRN in the one contest for the same reasons I chose $IDM in the other.
I did believe at the time they were under-valued and would provide a solid
20-30% over the year end. $IDM sure has their work cut out for them share structually speaking
but I reckon we'll see some action in the next few weeks.
Ironically, I own every stock except $NRN and $IDM,
as I sold them last December and August respectively.
With $WHN in the #BonusPickShowDown, I admit it really was a chance play. Although I wouldnt consider
them under-valued at the time, I did believe that with another drill season, they'd get that share price
active again. I am wrong so far, and the channel is all but dead. I just thought Gren might have had something
up his sleeve and I wanted to bet on it.
@EvenPrime@DullesB lol - you've made some other great calls though lately haven't you? But I did say, "I reckon we'll see some action in the next few weeks" $IDM so no hopes being given up hehe don't worry ;p
@robmcleod@Vaughan we're targeting releasing FS results in less than a month, filing our EA submission shortly afterward. It's going to be an exciting couple of months, with drill results as well. Grateful for your investment! Cheers
@NewtonWill $IDM production be in lower quartile? Big veins, 16M wide iirc. High grade 8.75 g/t plus silver credits. 1,000 tpd operation, no camp because local housing. Tailings and processing couple miles from mine, down valley, I believe. 6 year mine life but growing. Quick start. Commercial production by 2019. 1,000 ounces gold per vertical meter with down-dip extensions in the works. @robmcleod!
anonymousThe Lighter Side of the #IMW17:
The best freebies are:
$GXU’s measuring tape with a leveler, plus a small pen and even a writing pad!
$OR’s water bottle --- this time, it’s BPA free!
Of course most of us want to make some coins, not just freebie grabbing. So we really wish that Sean Roosen, the head cheese of $OR, will be there at the booth. Then we can ask the question will $OR follows the same playbook with $BGM and go after control of $IDM also… that’s a thought, with $IDM stock price in a slump now, waiting for the release of the feasibility.
The most annoying moment came on Mon afternoon, when Big Al was moderating the Korelin Panel, featuring Frank Holmes, Brent Cook and Rick Rule. The attendees were being enamored by the insights being extracted by Big Al’s skillful questioning, when suddenly there were yelling in the exhibition area disrupting the process. Turned out it was Mr Zimtu, DH, doing his BULL Yell ritual, supposedly waking the bulls. Big Al was noticeably pissed. He openly asked Joe Martin, IMW17 organizer, to go and investigate and put a stop to the insensible act. Doesn't Mr. Zimtu realize that Big Al is just about to squeeze out the success secrets from these three immortals for our benefit? How dare!
Joe Martin was put in an awkward position, weighing in his friendship with Mr. Zimtu. Fortunately, a few more yells and peace returned.
(Was told that Cambridge may start posting the videos on YouTube. If so, this panel discussion is worthy to watch.)
The most head turning event was also on Mon afternoon, when this tall, slim body exuding the unmistakable glow of confidence, and with killer high heels, strolling down the exhibition hall. One guy turned his head, went gar gar with eyeballs fixated on her every move: was promptly told that “You cannot afford her”…”It is Eira!”…
People attending the Jan MIF will recall the MILF gaffe… It was all in good context: M I'd Like (to) Finance…
@JamesKwantesHad a good sitdown with @robmcleod this afternoon, busy guy these days with $IDM FS imminent. Can't think of a better tribute to his late uncle Don McLeod than a successful mine build at IDM's Red Mountain - well, that and an $SBB takeout
@JamesKwantesAs for BC politics & impact on mining, the sky is not falling guys. The local NDP MLA for Stikine, large riding that includes Red Mountain (and $PVG's Brucejack), is Doug Donaldson. He's NDP energy and mines critic & very supportive of $IDM's Red Mountain. Hampering mining is not likely to be high on NDP/Green govt agenda (staying alive No. 1 maybe Site C No. 2)
@HighballUnfortunately this has been way to diluted

@VaughanUnfortunate from one point of view for sure @Highball.The saving grace of $IDM though, is its potential as a buyout target. The grades are rich, the infill and step outs have been successful and though the stock doesn't get much of a bump on news based on its share structure, this will be bought out based on a market cap significantly higher IMO.

@EvenPrimeAgreed @Vaughan. As for a rally - it could push to 17.5 but a lot of sells at the 16 cent line that needs to get chewed through first
