Silver muppet I hope IDM keeps the shares of $SKP as a long term hold....let the price of $SKP rise as the bull market begins to run over the next few years!! Jmho

Silver muppet Maybe by the time $IDM begins mine construction $SKP stock will be worth significantly more and help finance the $IDM red mountain mine development project....this could be a winning strategy long term.

@Lee First and foremost... I agree with @Vaughan... $IDM having one of the best ceo's in the junior space. IDM is my largest junior mining holding and I have a bid in for more shares. With that said... again I have to ask why not spin out to $GIS? I find it hard to believe that investors can value $SKP at $.30 USD considering what they have for exploration projects and $IDM at $.10 USD... @Silver muppet, whose opinion I Highly Respect... How would $IDM shares in $SKP stock help finance the red mountain mine development? Again I have to ask why not spin out to $GIS? How does this benefit $IDM shareholders? I respect everyone's view point and am very willing to fully understand this decision by $IDM.

Silver muppet @LEE ty for your kind words....I was simply implying to hold the shares and as the bull market in the gold mining sector moves forward $IDM sells the $SKP shares at s much higher price then the current 4 million of current values. Then take the higher profits from the sale to fund the mine or have a major share buy back, I am just confused by this turn of events and am trying to make it more tolerable. @LEE is right though a spinoff is the ideal situation for all long term investors in $IDM. Over the long run I believe the Yukon holds a multi flagship potential for $IDM, but @robmcleod is a great person running $IDM and trust him to make the best decisions for $IDM investors!!!

@newbie i would bet that the strategy is to pick up something else on the cheap while the market is down. another flip.

@Brandon I don't know the ins and outs of why @robmcleod went the way he did with the Yukon properties, but I do know that people looking for a spinout should understand that they are very difficult to make work. While it does give shares in SpinCo to investors who are interested in the secondary assets, it also gives shares in SpinCo to investors who only care about $IDM's primary asset, Red Mountain, and who will want to sell SpinCo shares at earliest convenience. This can create a tremendous selling pressure on SpinCo. Choosing, instead, to vend into a new company and hold those shares within $IDM means that you eliminate the selling pressure in the critical early stages of getting the company going and can still choose to distribute shares to shareholders later, sell them, keep them, whatever. It gives you more flexibility and gives the new company a great chance of success. just my opinion.

@Lee I want to thank everyone for the time to put out their views... I like the possibility of a major share buy back down the road silver muppet and absolutely agree that @robmcleod is a great person and ceo. I understand the points of what @Brandon is speaking to and would ask... most humbly... why $SKP and not $GIS. Is it that $SKP provides more flexibility for IDM to help them succeed as a company and that $GIS is capable of succeeding with what they currently have for exploration projects? I don't mean to beat a dead horse just want to understand the decision to go with $SKP.

@TheGalvanizer Why $gis and not $skp?

@Lee I believe @robmcleod is a director in the company and by my own DD $GIS has more experienced management and their exploration projects have more potential... Jmho.

@TheGalvanizer I think $skp is more of a restructured cleaner vehicle that perhaps can be marketed more as a purer Yukon play. I also always prefer the optics of arms length transactions when new board representation exists as part of a deal rather than pre-existing.

@T yeah @nobshere i get that but i still see $IDM being worth more than what they are valued at right now. they just seem super cheap and surprised they havent seen at least a couple cent increase in their share price in the last week

@Vaughan @T, i think this is a loger term winner for sure, but the sheer number of shares out make it difficult for enough buying to happen to move the sp. Idm will win in the long run, and the market cap will be multiples of where it is now, but its not going to go on crazy runs like a co with only fifty million shares out.

@EvenPrime Sorry I haven't followed IDM for over 3 months. Are there any short term catalysts specific to their company or are we waiting till spring for the snow time melt?

@EvenPrime I usually do my DD but on my cell stuck working outside today. Just curious though as my interest is peaked. I was waiting for 11 cents but she's pretty steady at 13

@T @EvenPrime, I haven't followed them either for about the same amount of time. price might go down some more but I see it being very limited so I was comfortable snatching up some shares. If it doubles within a year I'll be happy.

@T its a great long term play @Jdc9449 so its a good time to average down if you are long. it might settle back down to .14 but the downside to this one is very limited

I think the Yukon portfolio is gonna have some huge upside potential based on the soil sampling results of Sean Ryan....$IDM could make a killing if $SKP hits a great hole with a major stock price jump.
