@rustypants I absolutely see it as a positive too, for the same reasons you state (although I'm certainly not old enough to remember that far back). I just found it strange that the article gave it a negative spin, as if it was going to drive potential investors away. Or perhaps I completely misunderstood what I read and shouldn't be reading things shortly after waking up..

@hazzard It certainly wasn't written as a big pump for mining but I don't find that too surprising. It's a country with many competing interests/perspectives. A major agreement, over two years in the making, will have detractors, particularly in light of their history.

@rustypants Definitely. And maybe there's a hint in there to keep an eye on new developments in Chile and Peru going forward.

@rustypants BTW my question regarding permits for other similar companies from yesterday still stands unanswered (https://ceo.ca/ngz?4f4cfc9c86b4)

Budd @rustypants if you look on NRGs website under the Carachi Pampa project. The technical report indicates the basic permits process and what it entails. Also in the news release about the new project on June 5, it says the Carachi Pampa project is in the final stages of permits

@EpsteinResearch $NGZ NRG Metals -- I like the fundamental story, the 2 optioned properties and strong technical team. If recent selling is due to holders being upset about the delay in permits, that might be a mistake (to sell below 10c-12c) due only to delay. I still believe it's a question of when, not if, the drill permits are issued. Buying shares at 9c-10c-- several cents lower than where shares probably would be if permits were in hand-- seems like good risk/reward. With regard to #bergex guys and the technicals, I'm hoping that becomes a tailwind again at some point this summer, but I have no way of knowing if it will.

@rustypants Thanks for pointing that out Budd. I can't resist these prices; picking up some more, even though this puts me a little over my level of risk tolerance. It all just looks so good though.

@rustypants Someone on the stockhouse bb got an email response from the CEO. Some interesting tidbits in here. http://www.stockhouse.com/companies/bullboard?symbol=v.ngz&threadid=26366367

Budd @CRIticalInvestor surely comparing market caps in that manner doesn't guarantee success, however there was definitely good information in there, and they were definitely making a lot of sense imo

@rustypants For anyone that doesn't feel like clicking the stockhouse link (or can't), here's a brief summary: 1. Winter snow in Argentina has made it difficult for them to get a drilling crew to the new Hombre Muerto Norte site. 2. Permits: public hearing date for Carachi Pampa has been set by the Secretariat of Mines, so hopefully it won't be bumped back as it has been in the past. 3. Carachi Pampa is being renamed to Salar Escondido due to a name clash with a provincial reserve. 4. They have a different approach to lithium production in mind for Hombre Muerto Norte, but Adrian is waiting on some upcoming reports so that he can convey the information effectively ('over the next 2 weeks') 5. It closes with "As I bring the team members and the project together, I believe the marketplace will revalue NRG."

@Hamilton RE: permits Reading in-between the lines (and without using the word "bribe"), I get the feeling that permits will come swiftly once the appropriate politicians have been suitably "motivated".

Budd Things are shaping up. Definitely a good play for the long run. Shorts don't even bother wasting your time. Once we get the permits things will start all coming together

@rustypants @Hamilton Seems a bit speculative given I personally know nothing about Argentinean culture. It is, however, the cost of doing business in some parts of the world.

@Hamilton @rustypants yes.. pure speculation on my part but based on a lot of reading and several conversations with CEO. Less speculative is the fact that this latest public hearing was set by the Secretariat Of Mines, implying Adrian is now getting the right attention from the right people.

@EpsteinResearch $NGZ NRG Metals. No one can disagree with the fact that $NGZ has at least a few, I think 3-4, well connected, native Spanish speaking, experienced mining/metals/minerals (including potash & lithium) people on the team. These are guys who live in Argentina year-round, know all of the other projects, attend the conferences and have dinners with various mining officials and gov't reps.... I'm not saying $NGZ's team is the only one with contacts and access to decision makers, but there are several teams who don't have it as good as $NGZ. My point? If it's taking $NGZ a long time to get drill permits, I doubt it would be much different for other groups. And, I doubt new entrants to Argentina will have a better time at it. There's a reason why there appears to be lithium supply bottlenecks as far as the eye can see.....
