Interview with Zeff Reeves, Managing Director of Tesoro Resources (ASX: TSO)

Tesoro Resources is a gold explorer with assets in Chile. Gold mining stories are everywhere you look right now, so what sets this gold junior apart from the pack?

The company listed earlier this year in February, and the share price hasn't looked back, climbing ever since. The Tesoro Resources management team appears to have put the hard miles in with 3 years of private "friends & family" financing. It has been a long and difficult process to reach a point when the company can go public, but now it is here, it hopes to leverage favourable gold prices to provide returns for investors.

Tesoro Resources has one main gold project: the El Zorro Gold Project covers more than 10,000ha and has decent infrastructure, being located 140km by road from the city of Copiapo in northern Chile. The company has the right to earn up to 80% interest in El Zorro and aims to complete a positive feasibility study by 2022. It is clear that Reeves and his team are not keen to stick around; they want to get moving to capitalise on a gold price environment that is seeing financing easier to come by than we have ever seen before.
