Oliver Iran demanded an immediate halt to Saudi-led military operations in Yemen on Thursday and said it would make all necessary efforts to control the crisis there, Iranian news agencies reported. "The Saudi-led air strikes should stop immediately and it is against Yemen's sovereignty," the Students News Agency quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as saying. "We will make all efforts to control the crisis in Yemen," Zarif said, according to the agency's report from the Swiss city of Lausanne where he is negotiating with six world powers to resolve a years-old dispute over Tehran's nuclear ambitions. Earlier on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry in Tehran called for an end to the military operation. "Iran wants an immediate halt to all military aggressions and air strikes against Yemen and its people," Fars quoted Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham as saying. "Military actions in Yemen, which faces a domestic crisis, ... will further complicate the situation ... and will hinder efforts to resolve the crisis through peaceful ways." #iran #iraq #saudiarabia

@newstracker SAMA (Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority) studying ways to reschedule mortgages. Last week the Cabinet decided to reduce allowances for public sector employees. In response, the central bank issued instructions to banks on Sunday on how they should reschedule the consumer loans of customers whose incomes had shrunk. http://saudigazette.com.sa/business/sama-studying-ways-reschedule-mortgages/ #SaudiArabia

@Leon "Washington's declaration of economic warfare against two of its most strategic powerful allies, #Germany and #SaudiArabia and three rising competitor world powers, has eroded US economic competitiveness, underminded its access to lucrative markets and increased its reliance on aggressive military startegies over diplomacy. What is striking and perplexing about Washington's style of economic warfare is how costly this has been for the US economy and US allies, with so little concrete benefit." $DB $AAPL #gas #oil #politics http://petras.lahaine.org/?p=2107

@MiningBookGuy I just posted positive articles on #Sudan / #Egypt, implying positives for $ORG / $AAN and all the companies in the #ArabianNubianShield. I had no idea these news items were coming out when I created this video over the weekend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1l3Rk9xgX0s+ This is real positive momentum, and it will be hard to stop if more discoveries and companies keep joining the fold, whether it's in #Sudan / #Egypt / #Eritrea / #Ethiopia / #SaudiArabia, or any part of the #ArabianNubianShield! #areaPlays #shieldPlays #regionalPlays #saudi #gold #mining #geopolitics #PositiveMomentum

@newstracker Out of the Desert: My Journey from Nomadic Bedouin to the heart of Global Oil - New book about former Saudi Arabian Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Ali Al-Naimi. "“To say we didn’t understand modern finance and technology would be an understatement; most of those in this tribal culture had no knowledge that such things existed at all. I could just as easily have been born in the 1830s, the 1730s, or possibly even the 1630s and had a very similar barefooted boyhood to the one I experienced in the Saudi Arabia of my youth.”" http://www.arabnews.com/node/1028491/offbeat #energy #oil #saudiarabia #books

@MiningBookGuy The US-Saudi Alliance https://geopoliticalfutures.com/us-saudi-alliance/ This is from a few weeks ago, and a pretty good summary of US-Saudi alliance history. There's this 'balance of power' thing in #geopolitics that a lot of people don't want to look into. But I think it's really important, and will be interesting to follow whether the US leans more towards #SaudiArabia or #Iran in the coming years in the #MiddleEast. #Saudi #geopolitics #BalanceOfPower #GeopoliticalFutures
