OTTAWA, Dec. 1, 2016 /CNW/ - Assembly of First Nations (AFN) National Chief Perry Bellegarde will today join the Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, and the Honourable Jane Philpott, Minister of Health, for events observing World AIDS Day and the beginning of Aboriginal AIDS Awareness Week in Ottawa.

National Chief Bellegarde will join the Minister of Health for a Rapid HIV Test at the Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health. Afterward, National Chief Bellegarde will participate in the World AIDS Day Red Ribbon Flag Raising Ceremony led by the AIDS Committee of Ottawa (ACO) in honour of all Canadians living with HIV and AIDS.
